Like the way you explain AND show how to look for undercovered areas and what it takes to identify them and cover them. Great walkthrough!

Those tips really do seem to transform the Eastwood gun, including the little hopper. I'd definitely order the tips, but I'm in Cape Town, South Africa. Postage alone would make it prohibitive. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos and using your resources to help all of us. Much appreciated.

Do you have any idea why when using the fan tip, powder won’t stick to the part but sticks just fan without it?
@royalcoatspowdercoating6 ай бұрын
The Eastwood is a really limited system. Because of that, we recommend using the fan tip while hot flocking for a nice even pattern.
@MattBarkerProduction6 ай бұрын
@@royalcoatspowdercoating it works great for hot flocking. Wish I could use it for regular coating also!

Really considering your RC-1 system royal coat 1 gun and set up . I’ve seen some of your videos on it but I have questions, how were you able to make this gun what kind of experience do you have at designing such a thing ? I trust your powder coating skills I have seen you work in here and it is top notch but idk what your skills are making a powder coat system . I’m just really hoping it’s not like just some east wood out in a new case or what not . I’m have trouble finding the right gun . I planned on getting the Eastwood 1000pcs for about 1k$ American but then I seen terrible reviews on it here on KZbin so I am concerned with buying it however my only other options I can find are cheap entry level systems between 100-250$ and professional level guns for many many thousands of dollars . I really was hoping to find a great entry level Professional set up but I can’t seam to find one . Unless how ever your RC-1 is really legitimate. And I truly hope it is . Plz get back to me . Ty

So is there such a thing as to much powder. Hello again. I really like your videos and style. Thank you for making them so people can actually understand. I will order the 3pack once I get set up. I hope to go look at a oven tomorrow. Starting small just a stove/oven. Then to test the waters. Thank you
@royalcoatspowdercoating2 жыл бұрын
There is such thing as too much powder. Too much powder can cause your powder to sag as it flows out in the oven. Typically this happens when hot flocking because it’s hard to gauge how much powder has attached itself to the part. If you spray too much while it’s cool it will be obvious most of the time and you can blow off and reapply where needed. Glad to hear! That’s a smart way to get into it to see if you’re interested in powder coating. Glad I could help!

Would this fit a harbor freight gun? They appear to be similar guns. This would help with some of the issues with the HF system as well.

Kinda off topic but I'm having a miserable time doing primer and then a color coat with my Eastwood DV. It's impossible unless I spray the color warm/hot, and even then it's not guaranteed to stick to the edges or the faraday areas. Any tips or do I just need a better gun? I shoot the second coat at the lower KV setting at at 180-200 degrees. The majority of what I do is flat signs.
@royalcoatspowdercoating2 жыл бұрын
A lot of that has to do with the limitations of the Eastwood system. Sometimes you can get a good second coat but most of the time not. Are your customers requesting a primer or are you just spraying it to spray it? I wouldn’t think it would be necessary on a sign that I assume will be hanging on a wall and such? If you read online on all the old forums a lot of guys preached spraying a primer but I leave that up to the customer if they want it or not at an extra cost. Don’t let me tell you how to run your business but that’s just my two cents.
@LucidAutowerks2 жыл бұрын
Royal Coats Powder Coating I’m just doing it to get a smoother finish. I use hot rolled and sandblast it, but sometimes it has some pitting or scratches that I was trying to cover. Maybe I just need to go heavier with the color and prep it a little more by sanding the bad spots. The ones that I can get to work really look great, but it’s pretty frustrating when the color doesn’t stick. I appreciate you getting back to me.

Dedicated ground rod will allow our EW DV system to do 4 coats I've been up to so far
@edmacrae45212 жыл бұрын
Tank the stock ground cable if you want just run it to the metal gun where the air connector threads in and run the ground straight from the 6ft ground rod behind or next or wherever your shop is drill a hole in the wall and run a minimum of 6 or 10g wire nothing smaller
