Another great video! I knew you were going to say "sniff test" when checking out the dremel (I guess "rotary tool" for the pendantic). I use that sniff test on any used tool with a motor. I have a craftsman version of the dremel that I got decades ago and it still runs great, and all the accessories are compatible with the dremel ones as well.

I would like to see you do the hack saw and try to identify and date it! Remember spruce can get very large. The problem is they steal the ward unlike a tree such as oak or maple which also provide shade. we are fond of the blue spruce. I was surprised you did not buy the very large Williams engineers wrench. That wrench appeared at about 3:30 in the video.
@ScoutCrafter3 жыл бұрын
I picked up that wrench but it had some deep gouges in it and it was a big job! =D
@stevebark48733 жыл бұрын
Great scores! The Walworth item is not a pipe wrench. It’s a rod wrench. Antique reciprocating machinery such as steam engines, gas engines & air compressors use a highly polished round rod to connect the piston to the crankshaft. The rod had to pass through a set of fibrous packing to seal the pressure in the cylinder. The rod was threaded on both ends usually . You couldn’t use a pipe wrench to tighten/loosen it because it would mar the rod. You could change the jaws of the rod wrench to accommodate different sizes of rods. Love your videos.
@ScoutCrafter3 жыл бұрын
Hello Steve! I knew it was non marring but had no idea the jaws were replaceable! It screams of quality! Thanks so much!

I can't decide between the hacksaw and the pipe wrench. Decisions decisions. I knew you were going to grab that angled flashlight knockoff, I could hear it screaming your name! The two bagatelles at 9:42 suddenly took me back ~40 years. My dad was a primary school teacher in the UK, here I guess it would be 6th grade or so. Every year we would make dozens of those for kids at his school for Christmas as it was in an extremely poor neighborhood and a lot of them were getting pretty much nothing beyond a couple of pairs of socks. All the wood and nails were recycled, my dad would visit places being demolished throughout the year to collect old floorboards etc just for the project, and one of the local paint manufacturers would donate factory seconds so we could fancy them up. Haven't thought about that in YEARS :)

Beautiful foliage will add a nice contrast to your conifers I laughed when you panned by the green lamp i knew immediately it caught your eye. OK at 10:19 what was it? I know my grandparents had one that looked just like that they were from Hacketstown NJ and it was a Radiator Cover/Table was used in the living room or dining room to cover over the cast iron radiators. Grandma Travena's was wood on top and was white just like that and had some sort of red symbol in the middle, now don't ask my how I remember that so long ago when I can not remember what I had for breakfast today, but saw that and knew right away what it was. Thanks, scout great video. Here an idea for a video, enamel repair on that big white bowl (and yes I agree with ya, love them grandma had some big ones, have a pic of me taking a bath in one must have been 1 or less). The hacksaw is beautiful, but the mechanism on that pipe wrench makes me want to see it in action. Consider cedars, if you like evergreens. Firs and pines leave the soil nitrate rich and cedars leave it phosphorus rich, they like to grow together. Cedars also dry up wetland and don't make nearly as big of a mess. When you retire, you can make pencils on the lathe

I am also vaccinated, but still wear a mask - my understanding is that even though the vaccination protects me from infection, it's still possible for me to get the virus, be unaware that I've got it because I have no symptoms, but still be capable of spreading it to someone else. I'll stop wearing a mask when everyone has been offered a vaccination, and has had reasonable time to accept the offer.
@ScoutCrafter3 жыл бұрын
Mike- There hasn’t been a single study of vaccinated people spreading the virus. It’s theater...
@mikebashford81983 жыл бұрын
@@ScoutCrafter I understand that. But my philosophy is 'belt and braces' (I think you call the things to hold trousers up suspenders) (and you call trousers pants), so I will still wear a mask at the moment - I am super cautious. My local boot sale is a pleasant 20 minute walk from my house, re-starts this Sunday, but I won't be going there just yet. At the moment, half the people in the UK have had a first jab, and about a sixth have had 2 jabs. I'll wait till those figures get above 80%, then think about resuming a normal life. For 15 months, I haven't been more than 1 mile from my house!

@@mikebashford8198 It's called life -- there's danger every time you leave your bed in the morning and waking up tomorrow is never granted. You could get in a car accident, you could have a heart attack, a psycho could stab you on your 20 minute walk, and a million other ways that tomorrow could be your last. @Mike Bashford I agree. I think it's unlikely to spread the disease if you've been vaccinated. But, I'll follow the CDC guidelines. If it's a waste of time, big deal.
