I fly mostly rc and cl, but a ff plane that's trimmed and flown properly is a work of art. If everybody did things like this the world would be a better place.

There is just something so amazing about watching a model climb skyward with the sun on the horizon at day break in summer. Dead calm air, and the quiet of civilization.

That's a great collection of airplanes, great to see them flying. I was chuffed to see a Korda Victory in there. It's an ungainly looking thing, but they fly great. Carry on.

These are all beautiful. The Dyna Moe is a familiar plane to me, from your previous films, absolutely gorgeous. This Skokie too looks like a real goer. Many thanks to all involved, hoping the day was as enjoyable as this film was to watch! 👍

I really enjoy your build videos. I built balsa planes as a kid in the 60s and 70s but mostly gas powered, control-line planes we flew at the baseball field. It was fun! 😊 All the best and keep up the good work. * Liked & Subscribed.

I have been to numerous free flight events over 70+ years and hope to be at Muncie in a few weeks but have never heard any musical accompaniment. I guess I have no ear for music. The real sounds of a contest are very nice.

Just curious, some models are set to circle CW and others CCW. Is there a reason and would the torque from the prop have influence? And by the way, outstanding work! Just love to see this hobby in perfection.
@maxfliart
@maxfliart 2 жыл бұрын
Thx, David. Torque always wants to pull the model to the left, but I usually try to go against it and fly to the right. I've been able to get a better climb that way. But sometimes the model won't have it, so u simply need to listen to it, and go left. My Seafire was such a bird. Watch her 2nd & 3rd trim sessions on the channel and you'll see the difference.

@maxfliart

Hi Larry. I went with the 10" prop, as required by the Flying Aces Club rules for competition. It works well with this ship.

I like the idea of radio-assisted free-flight: a model that could be trimmed and flown as free flight, but with single-channel RC on the rudder, so that it can avoid trees and pylons, and be brought in to land somewhere nearby (not in another field, full of angry cows).

Asking a question, do you use additional anchor hole for the winding of rubber like the same thing holding back end of rubber? Where do you get winding tools, looks like old egg beater drill
@maxfliart
@maxfliart Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure that I understand the question. There are holes on the side of the rear fuselage to accept the rear motor peg, which holds the rubber. Those are the only holes that are needed. Winders can be purchased from various sources. I'd suggest Easy Built Models or Volare Products. The links are in the film description above. Making your own from a hand drill or egg beater would be a major challenge...but many tried for sure, long ago.

...to me is not the models that inpress me, is the field and the conditions... I moved to Normandy, here the wind is 50 mph year round and it rains 300 days a year... :-) I'm envious!

All from a few sticks of balsa, some tissue paper, rubber strip, a bit of bent piano wire and some injection *moulded/molded plastic. *Delete as appropriated depending upon which side of the pond you are.

It is necessary to support Ukraine, my girlfriend, that I am everyday writing to, is from UA, but now she didn't answer me for a longer time, I hope she isn't in danger, I am praying for her🙏 By the way, I have in plan special airplane model with KNO3 rocket engine, and minicam on the board. I have made the airplane today, engine will be done in monday as like as me will be delivered camera. I still love to make airplane models, Greetings, airplane lover Jarda from Czechia!😄 PS: we can sometimes discuss on instagram, but that is just my idea... Have a nice day!🙂
