It seems you would need about 2 weeks to truly experience the joy of eating across Bangkok! And what a fine way to spend 12 days---walking and seeing and eating! Like the leisure of the walking royalty!

I enjoy your video approach a lot. It's quite down to earth and mostly about the info and the food and place. It's one of the things that stands out about your videos. Also I like the calmness of the video, unlike all the other ADHD type of food blogs nowadays.

Ha- thanks a lot. I know not everyone wants to sit through long videos, and it might not be the most popular approach....but I've always tried not to look at the clock. Like- the story is the story, and the video should be as long as it takes to tell the story the right way (at least to the best of our ability).

This is such a good video. I enjoy it a lot and I like that he didn't show the crowded (way too popular and touristy) Jay Fai and Thipsamai. This way it gives exposure to other less well known but also good places

6 days wasn't enough for Bangkok. Heck, I still have 5-6 restaurants in Ekkamai alone to try.

Can you please give me the exact corner for Ameen biriyani? Can’t seem to find them on map or search
@@OTRontheroad much appreciated. Going and sending some friends that way. Kind of a hidden gem it has really been around for 75 years
@OTRontheroad Жыл бұрын
@@habibifunk4223 No worries. I think there's a story where there's a family connection to the spot next door- the Halal restaurant you'll notice a few feet away. I think that place is the original roots that eventually separated to include the biryani cart. But I could be wrong.

7-11 Espresso coffees are actually not bad in Thailand and they're great value. The 'coffee' drink things you also get from the 7-11 Slushie machines there are not quite as good shall we say? (-:

if you have 1 day... go for a thai buffet! 😅😅😅 most big hotels got em
@bunmeng007 Жыл бұрын
Whatever rocks your boat! But I would choose these places for the experience rather than a buffet
@antoniotottojr Жыл бұрын
@@bunmeng007 that is why i said, if you have 1 day. ive been a budget traveler for over 2 decades now and its pretty hard to taste most local foods even if you have a week or even a month. buffet is a good option if you wanna have a sample of multiple dishes from that country that are cooked by locals as well in one sitting.

Seems like you follow Michelin guides because you mentioned it often in the clip. Please don't. You know too well that there are many nice and delicious food all around Bangkok.
@OTRontheroad2 жыл бұрын
not at all- we've done our own exploring ourselves, but there are almost 300 Michelin-rated places in the city, so there's a fair bit of overlap. And to defend the Michelin guide- there are a TON of places they missed that we'd consider as good as the best stuff- but in general, they've actually done a pretty good job here. I'm fairly impressed by the Michelin guide's efforts in Bangkok, particularly after leaving Hong Kong and China where it's an absolute travesty and a complete disgrace. I do have a lot of issues with the Michelin system in general- that's a totally different conversation. But yeah don't worry- we don't ever rely on the Michelin guide for advice, but if one of our favorite places is honored in the guide, we'll absolutely mention it (and give credit to the guide for getting it right)
@bunmeng007 Жыл бұрын
I dont see anything wrong with Adam mentioning Michelin for a place that he likes. Just to give more info to the viewers. There is a reason why shops are proud to hang the Michelin sticker in their shops.
