So i live in Florida, never elk hunted in my life. Well January 1st starts my gym training for fall 2025 elk hunting💪💪🤘🤘 No idea where ill go, obviously otc public land will be the plan i guess. Everyone's after the big bull!! What happened to good old fashioned meat on the table.. Hell when I was 20 the old guys killed big bulls and left there horns in the woods.. Taught me to kill the first legal elk to feed my family.. Back when you could shoot cows.. Now all I here is stuck a bull yesterday full frontal couldn't find it. Spent two days looking for it... Man what happened to the good old days.. When no one took a shot over 2 to 300 yrds was a long shot... And the longest bow shot was 40 pushing it.. Crazy... And that's when you only had three days to hunt cause that's all your boss would give you off... And if you got lucky and had a cool boss and killed one last day he would come help you pack it out as long as you worked an extra day next week.
