Great video one thing I would add is that the Japanese counterpart is so much better. The quality, the texture, the vibrance of the color are all in the Japanese version's favor

This premium collection wasn't made in mind for investment/flipping, it was made for playing the game. Maybe this is a tinfoil hat theory take but I strongly believe they made it the price they did to combat scalping the product, hell, you look at independent seller prices ATM they are lower than the Pokémon centre (English Version).

pokemon is a lottery. no packs makes nobody want it tbh. yeah it has nice cards. but that doesn't change the fact that they removed the lottery part of the product.

i mean English quality is so bad. There is much less certainty compared to Japanese. To think if you pay 400$ you will get something you will expect the quality be good. But you can still find whittening, edges. Really a shame.

Yes~ the japanese PSA 10 rates for this is so much higher, it's like 80% psa 10

the only reason it failed was because of the price. If pokemon international just made it the same price as its japanese counterpart...it would have done fine...

They should have put collector cards in this set along with playable but ur right no surprise factor. Plus the English cards are trash compared to the japanese ones

The decks look great. I think people just dont want premium play mats, boxes, dices, counters, etc… which add to the cost of the product. A lot of people selling the classic collection without the cards.

If they could have made switch, super rod, etc. legal for standard play the prices of those cards would be much higher.

​@@RayQ101Thank You for this evasive answer.Not only the price but they printed too many. Look at Yugioh they released the Kaiba Briefcase made to order for the same exact price. People who hated it, didn't order. People who did are happy and it's an easy flip for people who were stuck in the middle and didn't order. Basically supply vs demand.

Buy English box to play with and they don’t look that bad. Buy Japanese singles to collect because they look a bit better that what I’m doing anyway
