You're not kidding. In fact, the movies and game have prompted me to finally read some GoTG comics (on Marvel Unlimited). Such a bunch of great characters. And I'm sure that I'm not the only one who has become a big fan like this. Feige was a genius for betting on them when he initially planned out the MCU. Now, if only he had as much faith in the Inhumans. Still kinda mad at Black Bolt's cameo in MoM...

I have to be honest.. when first hearing about the huddle, I thought it was stopping the combat for no reason.... Boooooy I haven't been so excited to be so wrong in a really long time! The commitment to the soundtrack is one of my favorite things about this game. Following the small talk banter back and forth with the characters. The writing was great, and rarely felt like it was being flarking forced up your scathole! Surprise of the year for me

As soon as I saw Quill's Dazzler poster, I freaked out. One of the first outright X-Men references in years. Imagine if they make an X-Men game that plays like GotG, but let's you customize your team like in Legends.

When the music hits and you start feeling it just like Quill is it really hits that flow state of gaming where it feels like you are the character in game.

The special move layouts make sense once you unlock all 4: On PS, Triangle is the AOE attack for every guardian, Circle is the stagger attack, Square is crowd control and X is a single(ish) target attack. It starts out weird because Groots starts with the crowd control move, Drax starts with the stagger move, and so on.

Absolutely ready to watch this video, fucking love this game so much! I can go on and on how much I love the characters , banter on the ship in between missions, Mantis, ugh. such a great experience. edit : The bugs are pretty hilarious man… I completed chapter 7 and after the cut scene it took me right back to the menu and forgot that I completed it and I had to do the whole thing over 🤣

I expected Marvel's Avengers to be exactly like this, I had played the demo at gamescom which was just the intro. And the intro mission is just so good, it made me have faith in it, But then they talked about multiplayer, so I figured the game would play like Guardians does, but instead of AI team mates other players could join as other heroes. THATS what I hoped for with the Avengers game, thats what I thought it was going to be! But it wasn't sadly. But since Avengers had some moments that were filled to the brim with potential, I was sold on the Guardians game right away, and my god did I enjoy every second of this game!

This game surprised so much and I honestly believe that this was a better adaptation (both in "comic accuracy" and all round quality) than the films (not hating on the films at all btw because it is a fantastic adaptation and both movies are brilliant). The gameplay was a but repetitive, but these versions of the characters and the story was soooo good that it never felt boring. Also its great to see a certain character get some love out side the comics especially because he is within my top 3 favourite Marvel characters and he was executed to perfection. Edios Montreal better be working on a game for him next.

At first I wasn’t getting the game cause I wasn’t a fan of just controlling Star-Lord, but after watching more gameplay walkthroughs it grew on me. I got the game and I love these Guardians more. Following reason are that their power set are increased, I like this peter quill’s reason for not going back to Earth cause he has no family left, Drax revenge story against Thanos is actually realized, and much more.

I know I'm a year late but I just got this a game a month or two ago and finished it this morning. One thing I noticed that I really like is how hostile the guardians are to each other at the beginning but at the end they still argue but it's more like family instead of actually hating one another. It's not really that noticeable because it just is organic and slowly turns into that during the game.

I played on ps4 and also only had 1-2 bugs. In one fight an enemy spawned in the ceiling and the camera wouldnt adjust far enough to shoot him properly without the camera getting stuck, so it took like an extra 10 mins to do the fight cus i had 1 enemy left and he was just chillin out in the ceiling of the area 😂 Other bug was a game crash when finishing a small fight near the middle of the game. Booted me right out of the game.

Finally had time to play it and my two thoughts: 1.) love the team style combat. Square used it well in the final fantasy 7 remake, and I’m glad a wider audience can experience what fun it can bring. 2.) I’m so glad I wasn’t the only one who thought the Phoenix force was a thing at the end of the game. I thought Nikki may have taken some of warlock’s powers as well, but I thought the hair was a dead giveaway. The references to the marvel universe as a whole also kinda supports this imo. I truly hope this is where the sequel goes (I’m convinced there’s a sequel coming. Infinity stones were introduced and the death of Thanos was never confirmed by drax. I’m so sure it’s coming lol)

on the ‘uncharted doesn’t need side quests’ point, whilst i agree, it would be cool to have a Mario Sunshine challenge level type thing where there is a particularly difficult challenge you can choose to do and be rewarded with a different cutscene or alternate entrance to a combat arena

I played on PC and the only bugs I had were the sliding jump sections. Most every time I would jump mid-slide hit an invisible ceiling that would push me down to my death. Then it would reload and it was gone. Happened like 5 times. I would also save my huddles for the fights I knew where gonna be long to have maximum amount of time to listen to the music.

Eidos knows how to make a comic book game. For those who don't know, before they were purchased by Square Enix, they were the original publisher for the Arkham series, and gave the license for a Batman game to Rocksteady.

i bought GOTG when it came out and loved it. currently playing it through again and the amount of different choices you can make is good enough in itself to make the story better and replayable at least a few times. hell even trying to find all the different outfits is cool because instead of making the whole team look the same, i like to give everyone a different look.

I alway thought Gamora’s armor in GOTG vol 2 and infinity war as symbolically of her relationship with Peter. As she get emotionally closer with Peter she starts to dress more and more like a rock star (Keith Richards) to tie into his love of music. By infinity war she’s full Rock Star singing along to the Bootsie Collins Rubber Band Band. I predict the Gamora we get in vol 3 is going to be a fully armored or alien version, that isn’t as carefree. Probably hooking up with Adam Warlock/Him.

Really could have been special if the avengers game was focused on its story and gameplay vs fitting a live service. Every character felt solid and fun to play so if the story and missions had just been worth anything we would have had a good game.
