@RICH_Photography2 жыл бұрын
You're so welcome! I have a video in the making about how I carry my gear. I have gotten to the point where I pack per shoot, some shoots don't require everything so I no longer always pack it all. If I'm doing a large job I use a pelican type of case, but a much longer, flatter, more affordable option that can take so much more.

Side not, I took all your suggestions and ordered most of the cage info you talked about. The reason I am doing this, I lost some of may vision about a month ago( decoyers say I will get most of it back) but until then using the cage with a monitor and keeping it light will help quite a bit. BTW what NP-F battery should I use with the dummy battery and adapter you told me about? Are this Sony Batteries of Panasonic I think you said NPF. My next thing will be to get the best SD cards I think it was V 60 and V 90. Thanks again. Cheers, Gary

The exact one I ordered isn’t available. However this one looks identical, even the specs are the same and people use it with power banks. The bonus is this one comes with a wall socket which I wouldn’t use. But the same power bank stats apply as I mentioned in the Dummy Battery video so it seems to be perfectly compatible 👌 amzn.to/2YCvuRs

Sorry, did I miss this...do you have to plug in both usb's to the Anker powerbank. I got a s5iix and had to get a usb-c dummy kit, but this battery doesn't do 9v through it with a conversion or another Anker with a usb-c. Is it because both power banks only do 5v or is it in the dummy battery side of things?

Question, is there any danger destroying the gh 5s by using the anger battery pack with the dummy battery?
@RICH_Photography Жыл бұрын
By some long shot maybe...to be honest, I've been using a dummy battery and power bank for MANY years and nothing's happened, not on my GH5, GH5s, G9 or GH6. But I do have a new method, technically safer if you want piece of mind but personally I prefer this new way, less clunky and if you have loads of NPF batteries it's worth it. The dummy battery, fits GH5 or GH6 (blk22 battery) - amzn.to/48pAADq This adapter allows the dummy battery to be plugged in and powered by an NPF battery - amzn.to/3ZrVD40 Bonus is the battery fits a GH6 too or AT etc so if you ever upgrade you're sorted.

You’re so welcome! Thank you for the support. Yes, I’ll see if I can find the link with 1 USB cable. The 2 USB cables is also pretty nice as you can hot swap if you need. I was hoping to have the little box ready by the time of this video. You can take a really small plastic Tupperware box. I sprayed my gimbal one with PlastiDip to make it look good. Then you can mount it onto the small rig battery holder, but on the opposite side of the power bank. I just shoved my cables in the box neatly with the little Bucker. If it doesn’t make sense drop me a DM on IG and I’ll send you a photo.

also I ask you, why did you not consider the half rig for the gh5 which considers the battery grip housing. In this way we would have less weight on the free right side as already with a good grip considering the camera plus the battery grip
@RICH_Photography3 жыл бұрын
Half rigs usually don’t have top mounting points so this would not allow for a top handle strong enough to hold a monitor etc. I wouldn’t recommend using the hot shoe of the GH5 to mount a top handle and monitor.
@simonefavaretto43723 жыл бұрын

Hence I said half rigs USUALLY don't have. The one you shared does have and will be perfect if you don't want a full cage. Not sure if this is only for the GH5 with battery grip or if they have one for no battery grip too.
@simonefavaretto43723 жыл бұрын
@@RICH_Photography this is always from the smallrig, unfortunately the half cage they did it only for the gh5 with battery grip I don't think there is the half grip without battery grip ... unfortunately. Unfortunately, because in my opinion the half cage weighs less and also the right side of the cage is of little use. Otherwise it would be nice if they did a full cage but also with the battery grip so you would avoid the use of the power bank

What is the battery life like from this power bank? GH5 batteries aren’t that great
@RICH_Photography3 жыл бұрын
If I'm conscious on how I shoot, in other words turn off my camera when I'm not shooting, I can comfortably shoot an entire wedding. Usually I just leave my camera on the entire time and I use around 1.5 power banks for a wedding. That's at 4K 60 with IBIS on the GH5, the GH5s last longer as no IBIS and if you shoot HD it should last longer.

@RICH_Photography3 жыл бұрын
The heavier the rig the smoother the footage, this is evident in the film industry and quite normal in the industry. Once you’ve used it on a few jobs you don’t even realise the weight. I have quite a large gimbal rig and when I go gym I actually exercise those specific muscles. No doubt, you gotta be fit to get through a wedding with a slightly heavy rig but the pay off is worth it.
