thanks for this review! you've tackled the upside and downside of this I think these lights are perfect for me filming outside like for music videos. since it's cheap, you can easily get a few of these to get a interesting lightings instead of buying with a high power watt rated that "sometimes" you wont be needing in full power.

The power button and knob twist to turn on the light is a protection if the light is inside your bag and it doesn’t turn on by mistake, it could get hot and set on fire.

depends on how far away you are or what you want to record or photograph, 40w is not a lot

so to speak it works for me in the sense that I use it quite often in this way and everything is ok so far

It depends if you choose such a version, because there is one with an additional charger and it costs a little more and there is one without and then you use usb-c charger at least 65w.

Agreed. Fan is too noisy, especially with mini bowens cone on - makes it louder.

in theory probably yes in practice I have not tested such an option :D
