... I have played in my 10 X 20' polly high hoop greenhouse now over thirty years ... I remember the 1,000,000 marigold year....man I thought heck Everyone will want these ... NOPE not the case ... but I had them planted everywhere on my property ... then there was the gutter garden phase ... worth looking into too ... tip ... buy a cotton mop head and use the strands as wicks ... started garden plants for all the neighbors vegetable gardens ... made a few bucks on that idea too ... I wish you all the best luck... and remember the more you grow ... the more you know ... bigger is usually just as involved as smaller ... so go big as you can ... be safe ...Peace out ...

It's so much easier having a greenhouse for seed starting. I bought a cheap harbor freight on and it was so incredible how much easier seed starting is versus using lights indoors. I have a few other projects to get done, but I already bought the plastic for a 10 x 16 cattle panel style hoop house. I have a plan in mind but it will be at least a year before i can get it done. For now the little harbor freight one works just fine. I'm sure y'all are excited to have one at y'all's place now.

Done!!! Just finished canning 68 quarts of home grown- homemade tomato juice! Actually finished last night and slept a little bit. This years garden did very good for me. And it’s been really fun and interesting. We had such a wet beginning that I was two weeks late getting planted. Then came the dry days. 3plus weeks without a drop. Hose water will get ya through but it’s just not rain. I’m down to the late corn and okree in my spring garden and just now planting fall stuff.

Aright, alright, alllright! Greenhouse up! Can't wait to see what seedlings and transplants might be for Fall/Winter garden? I once built a greenhouse with all the plastic covering it. Left the door space open so I could finish it the next day and other final touches. A mean storm came through during the night and the greenhouse... just went awaaaay!. I guess I should have anchored it before I went to supper, but I love collard greens and cornbread! :- )

some time ago was planning to set up a great big greenhouse to cover my little plot but, i've since changed my mind. a single shelf in my garden is enough for my modest seed starting needs. your beaut new greenhouse has enough bench to supply seedlings for many large plots. there's probably a formula out there for how many trays to supply seedlings for how much dirt. enjoy
@LazyDogFarm3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I guess that formula would depend on what kind of trays you were using. I can fit at least 10 162/338 trays on each side, so you could figure at least a few thousand transplants at one time could be grown in there.
