Your Father was a gent for helping us all dress ourselves properly! I have used this technique ever since I first viewed this video around four years ago. It works every single time, and no more awful-looking slanted knots. Baffling that it works EVERY single time - even when you think you've messed it up, it still snugs up looking nice. THANK you for sharing this with us!

Thanks a lot! Before I could use a windsor knot , I used your knot (now I know it is a Pratt Knot) countless amount of time. Your dad either know ties well or he just learnt it from somebody else, When I search about ties I found that the "Pratt Knot" is just a Simple Knot with a loop to counter the asymmetry ,I figured it out myself after an hour of tinkering and I realized that I have watched a video just like that. Genius!

He got out of the shower and was very pleased with the results :-) I had to retie it a few times to get it long enough for him, so now i am a pro lol it was very easy to remember! Excellent video...thank you very much. As an individual who is 6'3", and a fan of the Windsor knot, it is difficult to get a standard length tie to not shorten quite a bit because much of the tie length is used up. This knot still produces a very similar look to the Windsor when finished, and I do not lose the length with my standard ties. Glad that I found your video. It could have been very expensive to have had to replace all of my ties with longer ones just to accomplish the look that I wanted.

Excellent! I'd been looking for a knot like this for ever. I have a tie made of wool, really thick material, but it's also a skinny tie. I've learned that this combination makes it really hard to tie a good-looking knot. The double windsor doesn't work, because the tie is too thick, and the single knots presented in other videos are really asymmetric. I tried this one and it's perfect. Thanks a lot!
