I bought 3 Gas Transfer Pumps to compare them and see which one is best, $12 Amazon Pump, a $119 Gas Tapper and $62 Tera Pump. I run the $12 pump off of a Milwaukee M18 18 Volt battery pushing out 19 Volts to the Pump. Will it work? Lets Find out together. More videos coming soon!!

My big concern with your tested rigs relates to safety. Since most all DC motors use brushes on their motors that means that you can expect sparking on the motor commutator. Are these pumps and the switches associated with them designed for gasoline? Do they have any UL or related rating or are we dealing with Chinese knockoff for all?

Just a clarification the white insert is a flame arrester. It's not a filter, is a safety feature to prevent fire flame propagation. By the way, great video!

Your one mistake in this video is not fully explaining your DIY setup and listing all the parts required. I think that's easily the best option out of the three. I want to make one.

Yesterday I saw a clever video where the guy gutted a Milwaukee M12 charger (available on eBay for $10) added a power switch, and used that to link his battery to his $10 electric fuel pump. It's kind of funny that you can buy a working charger with all of those electronics inside for about the same price as people are asking for those 3D printed battery adapter plugs.

terapump is by far the best at 2.5-3 minutes. I bought the one with the built in rechargeable battery and 10ft hose. trep04L. Found your video because I have a concern with how to replace the hose. Needs an adapter to a regular 3/4" or 1/2" hose and it would be killer.

The downfall for my needs with the Tera Pump the exterior was not waterproof. Plus I didn't want to store a pump that would leak fuel in the front inside compartment of my jetski. Fuel fumes inside the hull do not mix.

@@DrDemp Did you mention in the video you were using this for a jet ski? I've actually solved that problem before. We use VP racing cans and hauled around extra fuel (2 VP cans at 6 gallons each). But we found a shore, anchored, and dumped them in the ski. Did 215 miles on a very large lake in 1 day. For your setup with the 12v pump, you should consider using SAE connectors (sold as battery tender dongle) and run your pump off of it. I actually built one with sae connectors because I have them on the atvs and jet skis. Pretty sure I have a video on my channel. Would simplify your setup. Now my use case is I want to refill the jet skis with large quantities of fuel...usually 10-15 gallons each ski. Just bought a 20 gallon wurx container to test out.

It's not really a big deal. Lots of old machines had 6 volt electrical systems which tend to get upgraded to 12 volt batteries/alternators but they don't bother to upgrade the starter motors.

Brake fluid is highly corrosive I'm not sure it would be dependable after using it with brake fluid.
