Regarding the Curse of The Tower re-appearance at 4:15 - an item IS removed completely from some pools just by seeing it (such as treasure and shop pools), but that isn't the case across the entire game - seeing an item show up in other places just makes it less likely to reappear. Touching an item does 100% remove it from pools regardless of circumstances though. The exact weighted values and adjustments got tweaked in Repentance, but that was always the case since Rebirth first launched. You aren't going crazy, it's just one of those hidden mechanics that's more complex that it first appears! Being able to still learn new stuff about this game after years of play and thousands of hours logged in-game is why I love Isaac. There's always more to learn! 😁
