You talk just good things about our parks. Im actually just around the corner and have never beento the park. I live at Cape Carancahua just a couple of miles from the park. Just because of this video I will now have to visit that park and will even rent a place to stay. gracias amigos!

awesome video, I have been camping in the texana side for the past 5 years, and every time i go i have an amazing time. Lake texana park is my number 1 spot for crappie fishing. The staff is super friendly and it is well kept. I try to go at least 5 times a year

Really enjoy your videos. Glad to see this very nice parks. And I do have to agree with you, if you bring it in, take it out. Why it is that people think it's ok to walk through a pristine area and throw trash or not pick up after they're dogs. If you enjoy that type of hiking, go to your local landfill and spend the day. A few folks can really mess things up for everyone. Or they can just shut places down so no one can enjoy it. You guys are great and go to amazing places. Keep up the great work. God bless y'all , take care and have a blessed day.

I have camped in both campgrounds numerous. We always stayed at the old Texana State Park back when it first opened. The state did a decent job of maintaining the ark until funding was cut. But LNRA has done a PHENOMENAL job maintaining the park since taking it back over. The staff at both parks are friendly, helpful and professional!! The trails are not normally trashy.....sorry you found them that way.....but thank you for stating what needed to be said Tom!! I prefer site #104 at Texana......but I doubt your rig will fit that site. Thanks for another beautiful video! Frank Jenkins "Pops"

Tom, I applaud you for picking up someone else's trash and then scolding them for leaving it behind; I share your displeasure. But, for your health and safety, please use either a trash picker or gloves. My wife and I travel all summer long and we find trash on the ground frequently. I too used to just pick it up and carry it to the nearest trash can with unprotected hands; so, I'm not w/o shame. I carry gloves to pick up trash now. Keep up the great videos and reviews. Can't wait to travel outside and tour the U.S.

Hey Robert and Nancy. There is a cove area that is more protected on the Texana side. To get to the kayak put-in area for it, take a right after you enter Texana and park near the day use playground and nature center.

Don't snarl at me! I didn't leave that trash! Often times when there is trash outside of a garbage can, It's not humans fault. Animals will pull trash out of a can. Which is why you don't often see them on trails.
@rvamericayall4 жыл бұрын
Fair point Glenn. We don't think an animal was the cause of these bottles though, and unfortunately, we've seen an increase in trash in some park areas lately.
