The biggest issue with Whitaker is I’m not sure about his power. All the boxers that he’s referenced to, Roy and Naseem for all their brilliance had one touch bang power, and I don’t know if Whitaker has the power against the elite guys.

Interesting insight into boxing supporter behaviour in 2024: Here we have Ade, rubbing shoulder with most of the sport’s high rollers, yet still bringing content to his YT channel, always upbeat and with positive energy. On the flip side we have his buddy gman - recently [almost bizarrely negative]. Yet the latter’s videos are receiving more views. Which [for me, at least] is a worrying reflection…

The difference between Naz and Ben is lights out power. Naz would have his fun but when he went through the gears with his power he would devastate and annihilate opponents. Ben has undeniable natural talent but just hasn't got that freakish power to make him as box office as Naz was.

@@christopherstuckey2433 some fighters play the bad guy to get more attention, the assumption is that people will be willing to pay to watch their fights just in the hopes to see that fighter lose. It used to work brilliantly for fighters like Floyd Mayweather, if you wanted to see him finally lose you had to buy the fights. But with the rise of online piracy people can still watch these fighters without paying a penny, being hated just isn't going to be lucrative as it used to be.
