@@KakanSarkar , why is that sharp increase in sound happening can you explain?
@KakanSarkar3 жыл бұрын
Its because of the increase in the RPM of the engine (automatically), in order to create air pressure faster with the help of air compressor.

What's the difference between shunting and coupling? I think attaching the hook must be called coupling. But then, what's shunting?
@KakanSarkar3 жыл бұрын
According to General rules book of the Indian Railway, Shunting means movement of vehicles/ wagons from one line to another line with or without engine or a light engine or any other self propelled vehicle for attaching or detaching or for any other purpose. why is india? using this type of coupler system? . the loco has modern US style coupler.... (sounds like a modified SD-70) safety is job 3??? would not want to be in a crash with that style car
@KakanSarkar Жыл бұрын
This type of coupling system is used in older coaches, which is being gradually phased out and are being replaced with CBC couplers which has higher standards of safety. Thanks for watching this video and please subscribe for more such videos

@@KakanSarkar APU onboard?
@KakanSarkar4 жыл бұрын
This Locomotive didn't have any Auxiliary Power Unit. Even if it had, there would be no electrical connection between the Locomotive and the coaches. APU is used to save Locomotive fuel in stationary condition of the Locomotive and to supply adequate air pressure to the Loco and the train.
