Got to admit I smiled to see you install drawer slides/drawers exactly the same way I do. The only minor difference is I use a single wider piece of plywood. Often times I will domino several off cuts together, start with the top slide and head to the table saw after each set of slides to rip the "template" shorter. In a larger project I will go around to all of the places that require a given "offset" from the bottom, shorten, rinse, repeat. cheers.

I prefer a single piece too if I have one, that’s a good idea even joining smaller ones together 👍🏽

I have the same kit for the drills only I opted to get one 3 ah batt and one 5 ah with the pack out box for the same price. That little impact is a beast! I one one with a 3/8 and 1/4 inch drive for my garage as well. The collet for the quick bit switch is a little messed up after about 4 years of abuse. Including replacing the suspension on my truck. Great kit. I have a pack out of my work kit and since they won't buy my cool work tools I take this one in the pack out so I can wheel the whole tool box into the hotels when I'm away. Since I have the M18 batteries I have added several other tools. I just wish the fuel circular saws have attachable or build in vacuum ports. Looking forward to them coming out with a track saw.

@@JohnBuildsIt Ryobi already dropped theirs so you know it won't be to long. Its priced at 399 from what I've seen. I suspect the M18 will be somewhere in the 5 to 6 range maybe? I do have the Ryobi one batteries for my wife's glue gun so its not a stretch and I really don't need anything "professional". A corded would likely work fine for me and I have thought about just hammering a wen or shop fox cheap one for a bit with a nice blade to dip my feet in there and see if its really useful for what I do.

You should probably mention in your plans that the cultist does not follow grain direction Also does not have blade kerf calculated so some of the cuts have to be spot on with no room For error, also the middle door hinges should be on the same side if on opposite side this will not allow the center shelve to be pulled out.

There’s room for 1/8” blade kerf between every piece on every sheet. Tilt the shelf and it easily pulls out like most cabinets with face frames.

Hey john! I love your channel and I may borrow some ideas from this workbench. If I can make a suggestion (and I dont know what hardware you're using right now, so forgive me), but upgrading your mic that you're doing voiceovers with, with perhaps a Blue Snowball (sub $50) and a pop filter could really up your voiceover game. It's amazing how cheap and good they sound!
@JohnBuildsIt2 жыл бұрын
The sad thing is, this is a highly recommended $250+ microphone haha. I did this voiceover like 8 times and this was as good as I could get it before getting too frustrated. I don’t get this stuff lol, going to go back to my old mic for now
@MikeGusFifteen2 жыл бұрын
@@JohnBuildsIt I'm not an audiophile, but depending on the mic and what software u use, you can probly dial that bad boy in real good! But ya that sorta work is pretty frustrating.. I usually just find a KZbin tutorial vid of someone with the same mic as me and copy their settings and tweak from there. Good luck!
@davidherd37392 жыл бұрын
Fellas, I work professionally in video production and agree with Mike’s suggestion. Blue Snowball is made by Yeti-my go to company for web-based voiceovers.
