Matthew:I have won 40,000 cases. Assuming each case lasts/consumes a day,that equates to 109 years. If you dont go by the assumption and do the calculations involving the courts timing (6-7 hours) it would mean that he won 1 case every hour.👏

He is 34 now maybe he started to practice law at 24 ;10 years 40K cases so about 300 cases per month 10 cases a day. He must be doing this through mail if he is telling the truth. Wa al-arda baada dalik'a dahaha What is important here is the use of the word daḥāhā as 3rd person masculine singular perfect verb Serious Arabic scholars will all tell you that if you take the word “Dahaha” to mean egg or ostrich egg, the sentence becomes impossible, because you just made the verb the adjective. There seems to be this urge, comparable to the creationist urge, to make squares fit into a circle. Many Arab words can mean many things depending on the context, but when you look at the whole sentence it can only mean “And after that He spread the earth.” Also, daḥāhā is only used once, other places use other words that certainly do not mean egg: Quran 13:3 Sahih International And it is He who spread the earth and placed therein firmly set mountains and rivers; and from all of the fruits He made therein two mates; He causes the night to cover the day. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought. Here the word “madda” is used as verb: He who spread the earth. You cannot make an egg out of this either. In verse 16:19 : “And the earth, we have spread it”; 1st person plural perfect verb “madadnāhā”, meaning “We have spread it” is used. All other verses also agree (51:48;79:30;…) with the spread and no possible link can be made to an egg here.

I've been telling this same thing to atheists for year. I gave up on Christians a long time ago, I've also given up on atheists. Most people don't make decisions based on logic. Most people make decisions based on emotion. There's no point in making logical arguments with people who are attached to their world view emotionally. That's why when someone goes through a big problem in life they can re consider things, because their emotions are all shaken up. That's why some Muslims turn back after going down the wrong path due to their emotions.

Philosophy precedes science. Science used to be called natural philosophy, but then it branched off. So it can be said that science evolved from philosophy. Philosophy is simply our intuitions given words. "I think, therefore I am" is an intuition related to consciousness. "Evidence must back statements" is an intuition related to science. "Leave everything you've got on the court" is an intuition related to sports. Philosophy and science have one thing in common, and that is that they are progressive. Science has its own ways to measure progress, but philosophy can simply be thought of as a train of thought. The more we contemplate, the further down the path we go, and along the way we discover new intuitions and new philosophy. Because philosophy is progressive, we were able to think our way to the philosophy that we now call science.

Matthew you need to ground your own epistemology rather than picking and choosing. Not everything is a matter of civil court and breach of contract. The panel was focusing on disecting your epistemology when you were being inconsistent in your own standard I.e. 51% vote vs someones claim of believing rocks are from moon because you saw it on TV. As much as that could be considered evidence, one can argue many other reasons to doubt that evidence and then at that point you will be stuck in the conundrum of being agnostic

I consider ALL forms of evidence, and weigh them accordingly, and get paid to do so. That is my epistemology. I answered all of their questions, and they kept avoiding mine. "We will come to that." "I will answer after you do." Etc. They never provided any evidence for Allah, and yet they believe it.

@@matthewbardos4424 the stream was to critique your beliefs, not there's so perhaps you should join humza's den tomorrow and that would be more appropriate for you to contend them on that. However, your epistemology was shown to be a bit shaky and Imran spent time with you to explain for example the philosophy that underpins the scientific endeavor. Needless to say, if you come from an agnostic position, your conclusions would be neither here nor there and it would come of as arguing for the sake of it. If you believe its impossible to know something even based on evidence then you won't be being honest with yourself. What I would suggest is look into roots to knowledge and then accept other perspective based on those different roots to knowledge. Weather its valid testimony, empiricism, intuition, Axiomatic beliefs, logic etc

Timestamp 51:03. How do you explain his dishonesty? That timestamp should tell you everything you need to know about these guys. 2) I think you might be misunderstanding the meaning of agnosticism here, which is why I used the gold on Pluto example. If you were given a multiple choice test, and the questions was "is there gold on Pluto" and the three choices were: "Yes", "No" or "insufficient data at present" how would you answer? I hope this clarifies my position when saying that agnosticism IS the most reasonable answer currently, not Islam.

It's just a stance of not taking a position to avoid taking a stance that is has a belief content. Wheather you have full knowledge about something or not doesn't mean you can't have justifiable reasons to pick X or Y, but you weren't even willing to do that because you didn't wanna defend yourself.
