I also own most of these hand tools if not all of them, as I’m a general maintenance contractor in the UK 🇬🇧 Mon to Fri and I renovate houses for myself on evenings and weekends, I buy the best tools as I see it as an investment because they last longer and work better. I have several smaller Veto Tech MCT bags and run each one set up for different trades, Plumbing, Electrical, Joinery and then a General all in one type bag. I find that works well for hand tools as there nothing worse than having a huge bag full of gear and not being able to find what you want, when you want it. Smaller, job specific bags are the way to go. Being organised will make you a better tradesman, bring you better, more well paid, repeat jobs, I tested this theory last year by really trying to organise my van, tools, work flow in general and the last 8 months have earned me almost 50% more than the 8 months previous. It makes you feel better about work too. I can’t recommend it enough, it changed my life in a big way.

Unfortunate reality of life is 90%+of jobs and promotions/more desired positions within them will go to the ass kisser/troll. Of all my jobs I've probably had experience with 40 or so direct supervisors, I can only specifically recalling 3 that would without a doubt have the employee's work ethic/performance etc considered their #1 scrutiny. Seen plenty of people with less experience, 20% of work output etc get moved into better spots while the hardest workers will have tiny mistakes scrutinized with 4x the work completed lol. I'm 29 and only the past year or two accepted this after years of being fed nonsense. Just do your thing and when you get in that position one day be the better leader

Overall, nice pick of tools. I do agree that nothing beats Knipex in terms of pliers, cutters, wire strippers etc. and Wera screwdrivers. The only things I don't agree are the backpack and the Fluke. While the backpack is indeed nice, sturdy and very durable, I like my large Milwaukee backpack a lot and I'm thinking about getting the Stanley Fatmax, because it's a bit smaller and it has a removable tool bag inside, which can hold way more tools than most bags I've seen. The Fluke you have looks nice, but it has less features than my $40 Uni-T clamp meter and there's just no way I would spend $200 something that has the most basic features.
@rickylee24773 ай бұрын
Because you are a weekend warrior. Fluke is an industry standard and has earned it reputation as # 1 amongst electricians. And I’m not saying your your Amazon brand meter is suitable for what you use it for at home. But it is by no means a better meter than the fluke. The bottom line is. You get what you pay for… cool shit isn’t cheap and cheap shit isn’t cool. It’s just the way it is.
@Foxtrot-jr5qu3 ай бұрын
@@rickylee2477 There are many other professional brands that are just as good if not better than Fluke. I use Benning, which is German made and I have zero issues whatsoever. A tool is only as good as the user using it and I've seen countless tryhards ''professionals'' getting ''the best of the best'' tools on the market from day one right after they became electrician apprentices and not only they quickly became the jokers of the groups, but many of them quit and gave up and all those money have gone to waste. I'm not saying that Fluke is a bad brand or anything, but for me it's exactly what the name suggests - it's a fluke.
@erikgordon48042 ай бұрын
Uni-T meters are not known for their reliability. Or for their accuracy, although they are accurate enough for many uses.
@Foxtrot-jr5qu2 ай бұрын
@@erikgordon4804 It really depends on what you're doing. There are many types of electricians and not all of them require it's user to have the latest gadget. Most electricians I know of are pulling cables and doing not very complicated stuff and according to them to have a high-end multimeter is like buying a crane to move a small chair. I've also recently got a German made Benning, which is concidered to be a very good brand. My point was simply that Fluke isn't the only best brand out there and the reason why many companies are using it isn't because the rest are not as good. I've seen plenty of try hards like the guy above me with the most expensive tools and gadgets you can imagine and still they can't perform some very simple tasks or have any clue how to use what they have and all they do is getting laughed at.
