Dude as a Euro, the US Screwdriver Handles look horribly uncomfortable. I personally run Wera and Wiha but even the WIhas feel to girthy sometimes. Also I love my Klein Tools Multi Nut driver cuz they make it in Metric, dont have the handle just got the Impact set. Wish you had those like genius links that work on all amazons :3

I will take one exception from brushless Milwaukee tools. The Milwaukee vacuum cleaner has a newer brushless model. Why they decided to wrap the unused hose outside the case instead of inside like the older Milwaukee model, is beyond me. The newer brushless vacuum cleaner is little quieter but is inferior to the older brushed model. Why? The newer brushless model uses a load measuring circuit to ramp up suction when the load is higher to save battery and run quieter. i.e. if you clog the hose it will draw harder with the new model. That's not how you use a vacuum cleaner. When you are cleaning the floor you want MAXIMUM suction at all times, not just a little until it is clogged. Save yourself $70 and buy the slightly noisier brushed model it's a better vacuum.

Electrician contractor here. I’m 31 years of age. I started my residential electrician business three years ago. I have two full time employees and one part time employee. My company pulls in 500k a year in sales on average. I personally make around $200k a year. If you’re willing to take on the stress and responsibility it’s definitely worth it.

Completely agree on the 13 in one. I have it too and I wish the Phillips and flat were one bit. Disagree with the complaint not being justified, but it’s more feedback than a complaint and it’s good feedback. Klein should sell a replacement bit like that.
@mendel6101Күн бұрын
They should sell a modbox with tons of those double sided bits, different configurations and a full torx range. I personally would prefer having philips #2 and #3 together, hardly ever use #1.

I can figure out why you didn't have trouble with the Precip 16's. They are not made for the American Mkt. I had a lot of trouble with them slipping off coated insulation like Southwire. I called Knipex and they are the ones who told me they aren't made for the American Mkt. Since you do commercial that's probably why they worked for you. Try them on coated wire and you will see how horrible they are. I thought they sucked and I love Knipex. My goal was to find an autostripper that worked. I watched a video on a gimmicky pair of Tesmen with a built in NCV tester. They are cheap and strip everything great. I also found an even cheaper pair of VOELINK GJ7092. They a knockoff of something else.. Both of these strip so much better than the Knipex for me. My favorite manual strippers are the Knipex forged.

Uh oh, this is a tutorial for ringing a conductor. Very naughty! Don't use this technique! While it's possible to quickly and neatly strip a large conductor by ringing it, this is considered bad trade practice, because a small slip can damage the installation and nick the conductor. Over the lifetime of the equipment this could create a failure point, as expansion/contraction, vibration, and eventually arcing cause the conductor to further deteriorate. You should have picked up that hawkbill knife. It's not very sharp, but it's not supposed to be. It cuts into the insulation, not the conductor. You break the insulation with knife's edge, then twist it parallel to the conductor, and you cut the insulation down to the end. If it's stiff insulation you might do it again on the other side. Then you pull it free from the conductor and trim the edges. it's probably not going to look as clean as ringing it, but it'll be code-compliant.

I guess I'm in the wrong trade because I can barely afford any of this stuff.some I certainly can and would buy but 9 x /10 I have something of the sort and don't want to buy something twice.
@otto32252 күн бұрын
If these tools earn your money, you probably can't afford cheap tools. But in most cases there is something that isn't the most expensive and not the best but "good enough" to do the job, but don't go with the cheapest. Knipex pliers e.g. can be an invest for live. I have some from my father from the early sixties and they still work well and a Rigid pipe wrench from probably WW2 and it's still fine, saved me a few times.

Surprised you haven't talked about Milwaukee's EXC bits.... Knipex just miles above everything else. Proven, not gimmicky and started a lot of the trends in the Trade.

I have all the knipex tools you presented. I like the little twingrip, is my favorite, and I also have the big 10 inch one with the new confort grip handles. A few days ago I purchased the knipex X-Cut diagonal cutters, compact and powerful, they can cut piano wire up to 2.2mm, great design with box joint.

If you are ever on the fence between Knipex and another brand. Just get knipex. They are seriously worth the price. I can not recommend that brand of hand tools enough. Iv been a maintenance tech for 12 years and an Engineering supervisor for 3. Just go knipex.

Man all the butt hurt fans boys mad at a afford electric tools is hilarious. For the most people brands dont mean anything they all work just fine. Some people just want cheap tools that work instead of dumping $200+ for literally just a bare tool no battery etc. Hyper tough tools work just fine.

Using their pouch/belt system over a decade. Wish their hands tools were more available. Thought built sometimes is over bulky, but fix angled blade utility, compact utility, and 5-1 electrician utility are money. And the tapes!!!! Easiest to sling in clips

Great video, and thats a really nice set-up. I have a similar kit, and I have it for the exact same reason, but I'm contemplating getting a new bag for the kit. Obviously you have everything you need, but I would imagine that a flat prybar would be a great addition and it takes up almost no space. Also, sometimes a right angle drill attachment really saves the day, and I keep one in my kit. In the video, you made a point to mention how you pronounce Knipex properly.... why not pronounce Wera properly as well?

Cobra tongue and groove/water pump pliers are not the BEST out there. Words like “best”, “guarantee”, “ever”, are dead giveaways of a bullshitter. How tf do you know every brand and tool that’s out there-especially being such a young tradesman-to be able to use such words to describe one particular brand/tool versus others? Maybe if you’re a master mechanic of 40 years of age, I would give more credence to your opinion. (Then again, I’ve found that the best tradesmen, regardless of age, never use words like those I mentioned above.)

The only problem is it’s Imperial and not Metric Gauge. It’s only good for the American Market. Why Americans are so antiquated, is beyond my understanding. One can forgive them for that even considering they make excellent tools.
