Was it this swaping mechanism that made you pull the trigger for the Mr. Q Series? By the way Leofoto also offers Leveling Bases for their tripods. I'd rather chose LS-324CL that goes up to 2.08m! There I'll add a Leveling Base and the VH-30R. It's even more modular. That's what I like about Leofoto. You can customize your favorite tripod(s) . almost like Novoflex! I just ordered the LS-255CEX as my new travel tripod wiht some accessories and I'll add a Novoflex Panorama Plate on it. I hope this will be great for taking panoramas.

Great video. A tip though, make sure you're either recording in Stereo or ensure to enable dual mono after you record with what appears to be a Rode mic. It's panned hard Left because the other mic is panned hard right for an interview.

Own this for the last 3 yaers. Works well, but you have to watcj carefully into the locks: plastics inside can damage easily. Using it with a smaller head and had to swap the main bolt due to its softness. As for extension, want to add a innorel monopode into my bag, but to attach it to the legs in situations when additional height is needed

Vielen Dank for this review! Give the price-point, I wanted to ask how you reflect on the quality and overall experience a year+ later. How would you compare it to Gitzo, which I'd argue is in the same price-class with their mountaineer tripods on discount, whilst RRS is higher still, of course. Likewise, given the weight, do you still use it as a travel-tripod or has it proven a bit too heavy for that use over time? Thank you!

Hi, I still like the tripod. It held up very well and I even had it on some hikes in the Alps. It's true, that it's much heavier than a typical travel tripod. But what I found is that I value the added stability more. I do a lot of "time blending" where the camera is in one place for an hour or more, and it's just great when the first and the last photo of such a sequence overlap perfectly. With my previous, light-weight, tripod this was impossible. You should also ask yourself, if you need this height. I need it and it's the reason I bought the biggest MR Q from Leofoto. But if you don't, you can also go with a smaller version to safe weight and money.

Is total waterproof and sandproof ? Thank you
@mibreit-photoАй бұрын
No it's not. For that, you must go with the Poseidon Series. Most tripods, this one included, must be cleaned after a trip to the coast to avoid salt building up in the legs. For it, you can simply take the legs apart.

Bekommt man das als normal sterblicher auch eventuell ohne Kugelkopf? 😉

Michael great honest review.. I am not as tall as you , I just purchased the Leofoto LP -324C .. it’s the new water proof and dust proof tripod.. it’s also carbon fibre and the best part the metal pieces are made of titanium and the spikes and ball feet are also titanium . The leg top section is 32mm which makes it really rigid and stable . The locks are chunky and strong being titanium . But the Leofoto range are fantastic and they are great value for quality and price .
