All you need is a good leave in to protect the hair and keep it conditioned, Xtreme wet line gel and a Spray with a little oil after and that’s it. It does dry a little “crunchy” but it softens up after a day or so. Maybe I experience a little crunchy because of my hair texture but when it’s completely dry it’s a little crunch. I don’t care because Xtreme is the best gel for wash n go’s hands down.

I tried this combo and loved it! However I have type 4 hair and it's getting thick, so the wash and go only lasted like 2 days because it was so soft. Not a crunch in site haha I didn't use the same leave-in, so I'm gonna include it today when I do my hair and see what happens.

I’m a newly natural and I used this gel with Aunt Jackie’s Curl la la defining curl custard cream that has a lavender color and it doesn’t go with it except with the Taliah Waajid Curly Curl Cream. I’m still experimenting to see what else I can pair the Extreme Gel with.

tracy edwards I had that same problem too until I realize that I needed to use a moisturizing leave in and then I didn’t have the hard cast anymore. Because I was using a curling cream and then the gel but once I switched to using just a leave in and then the gel, everything was A1.

Maybe I used the wrong leave in because my hair was extremely crunchy the next day.....it’s great for my slick back buns but the only thing I don’t like is that it’s so gooey once I add water to it especially when u wash it out
