Co-washing is a very good tip for those who wash their hair frequently!! But Conditioners DO NOT clean the hair. So if you only shampoo once a month, you should definitely be using an actual Cowash versus a Conditioner… especially if you use creams & gels to style your hair! Those products need to be removed from the hair before you style again using them.. but if you use sprays & mousses then co-washing with conditioner won’t be too bad.. 🖤🖤

I have been watching you two for a long time! I love and admire both of you. I have been natural for about 8 years now. I had relaxers for over 30 years! I transitioned for a year. I am 67 years old and my hair is about tailbone length now. I have had my hair flatironed only 3 times in all of these years. I have also never colored or dyed my hair; I have very little gray. Keep up the good work! I just love both of you so much!

I already know these tips, but it's nice to have them backed up by ladies that are OG's to naturally curly hair. The game changer for me is to style my hair while it's dripping wet. In the shower is great but so is a spray bottle with a towel on the floor and a cape around your neck. Thank you ladies for tips that really work. 🌹

You guys will forever be KZbin GOATS to me. Thank you so much for staying genuine and authentic to yourselves!! And if there is one tip I encourage anybody reading this is if you live in an area where there is hard water then use cold distilled water in your spray bottle while doing you wash and go after rinsing out your masque/deep conditioner/conditioner. I’ve been doing this for about two months now and my hair so is SOOOO much more softer and and manageable. Also I’ve been experiencing way less breakage on my ends

Love the video, I’ve been natural about 7 years now and it’s pretty long and I still have those weeks were my wash and go doesn’t turn out the way I planned. The struggle is real. You can use the same products and one weeks your hair looks fire, use them again the next week and it don’t look good!

My hair is about the same length as ya'lls and I found once it started getting longer the Denman brush wasn't working to detangle and style so I switch to a tangle teezer and I love it! It gently gets out all of the tangles, I use it with the African Pride pre-shampoo and detangling on wash days are sooooo much easier.

My hair is short but I learned that gel doesn’t work well in my hair. So instead I use Mousse (OGX or Herbal Essence) and sometimes an air dry cream I really get amazing results! I wash my hair now every two days because my hair doesn’t look great going a full week. Because of the castor oil in OGX my hair doesn’t break as much anymore.

🎶 Hi guys! 🎶 My wash & go's have been bomb, & esp in the past couple of years, my hair has been thriving! I discovered LBG (Leave in + Botanical jelly/custard + Gel) works well for me, in light layers (sometimes + oil). Only thing I wasn't prepared for was how in the past couple of years, my density (thicc), length (almost booty), definition (3c, just for reference) would double the time of my wash day. You're so right about everything here, esp. time! Ly2sm! xo 😘😘➰➰
@fyfloyd12 жыл бұрын
What custard do you use? I have been on the search for a custard for months now and haven’t found one with ingredients that would work for my hair.
@pondeck2 жыл бұрын
@@fyfloyd1 Hope you find the one! The main thing for my LBG 'jelly/custard' layer is that it has a slippy botanical consistency. I've been loving Curlsmith's Souffle for that layer, but I also like Curl Junkie Pattern Pusha, or CR Curlmaker, or As I Am Curling Jelly, or I used to use Mielle Pom & Honey Custard. Keep in mind tho that I do top with a light layer of gel, hence 'LBG,' usually Curlsmith Flexi Jelly or Shine Gel, depending on how much hold I want. For the Leave In layer, I use either Aveda Cherry Almond or Soultanicals Frizz Whiz. If I need oil, I love Curlsmith's Bonding Oil. Out of all of these, only the oil has protein... this lets me control how much extra protein my hair gets, & I usually mainly get it from deep conditioners. The 'B' layer of my LBG is actually the fun part, because that's the layer I rotate products the most! If I were to recommend 1 botanical tho, it's the Curlsmith Souffle... my hair is long, heavy, & thick, so the Souffle (& the Aveda Cherry Almond leave in) add a bit of extra gritty volume when I want that. Ps, I agree with Kendra & Kelsey about applying to soaking wet hair. I diffuse on cool &/or low, so it takes awhile, but I put on a Glamtwinz video... or a few! 😂 Hope this helps, best of luck! xo ➰➰➰
