I ran 2. 1st I didn't realise where I was and happily started a third can: Boom! 2nd I thought; well I did hack 2 so surely I can hack at least 1 safely, but the can proved unhackable: Boom! Haven't tried since. I WILL try again, but either with a cheapest fit possible, OR a ship that can tank the explosion.

If you have the blackglass implant gives you that bigger chance of hacking it I do ghost sites when I see them and get a scan of all the cans and mwd to the can with best loot first then do a second. If you fail the hack it blows up or the pirate faction ship spawn then blows up to.

The lowsec ghost sites have the one extra cans with the blue chip, it doesn't blow up if you fail it or after the rats come. The site will despawn however so its best to wait ongrid cloaked.
