حديث أبي الدرداءِ رضي الله عنه عن النبي - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قال: ثلاثةٌ يحبُّهم اللهُ، ويضحكُ إليهم، وَيستبشرُ بهم: الذي إذا انكشفتْ فِئةٌ قاتلَ وراءها بنفسه لله عز وجل، فإمّا أنْ يُقتَلَ، وإمّا أنْ ينصرَه اللهُ ويكفيَه، فيقول: انظروا إلى عبدي هذا كيف صبر لي بنفسه؟! والذي له امرأة حَسَنَةٌ، وفراشٌ لَيِّنٌ حَسَنٌ، فَيَقُومُ من الليلِ، فيقولُ: يَذَرُ شهوتَه وَيذكرني، ولو شاء رَقَدَ. والذي إذا كان في سفرٍ، وكان معه ركب، فسهروا، ثم هَجَعُوا، فقام من السَّحَرِ في ضرَّاءَ وسرَّاءَ . قال المنذري رحمه الله في "الترغيب والترهيب" (629): "رواه الطبراني في "الكبير" بإسناد حسن" انتهى. والحديث حسنه الألباني وعزاه إلى الحاكم أيضا.
