The problem with P5D reusing the soundtrack was probably because it wasn't ready. It was the only Spin-off game Persona 5 had, and all it could use was some pieces from the main game. The other dancing games had more, like P3P, Golden version, P4 Arena and Persona Q. But remixed songs like Whim of Fate, With The Stars of US and Tokyo Daylight are lit. If they had waited until Persona Q2, it could had been better. However, I do like the other 2 dancing games a lot. They were a variety of songs they have excellently remixed. Deep Breath, Brand New Day, Now I Know and even Stars of Us are among my favorites. I also like the fact that the ending songs are available when beating the stories. They're also my first experience with rhythm games and the gameplay offers some great challenge. My hands were on fire!

Yeah imo they should have released P5D after P5R. There would have been larger variety of songs to play with.

Not gonna lie, I had the same doubts, that this was a stupid idea.....yet this is another stupid idea on paper executed surprisingly well. Seeing our favorite Persona characters shake what their mother's gave them is surprisingly entertaining. And I guess it was a way of seeing our favorite Persona ships dance the night away together. Although in my opinion, in terms of the soundtrack of all 3 dancing games, P3 has the best dancing soundtrack (To be fair if I had to choose between the original games, P3 would still be my favorite in terms of soundtracks.) and P5 was unfortunately the weakest dancing soundtrack.... a crying shame to cuz the original P5 had quite a lot of good songs. Plus they could've waited till Q2 dropped and use some songs from there for P5's soundtrack. Also and this is just a small complaint I have but in my opinion since in the social events they do acknowledge that the other team is dancing with them, it's CRIMINAL that the two teams don't meet each other. I mean they're gonna forget when they wake up anyways, why not have SEES and The Phantom Thieves meet? To have them reflect on their experiences. I mean they don't even have to have them dance together, just have the two teams interact for the social events. But I gotta say my favorite Dancing game is P4D, which alright part of me is being biased when I say this. But I just LOVE the Investigation Team and seeing them dance together after everything they've gone through is a beautiful sight to me. But those r my thoughts on it, also on your dance at the end, KING CRAZY!!!

Laura Bailey was too busy at the time she was asked to voice rise for p4d, that’s why her voice is different in p4d, also we still got yuri lowenthal is still voicing yosuke and the p3 protagonist and he’s also done some bigger budget series so I don’t see your point

2:30 I recently purchased the Endless night collection on PS5 on sale. I got persona 4 dancing all night. But I did not receive Akechi or Shinji dancing passes. Tried contacting Sony about it, and no help.

9:49 exactly. There's a reason why P4 is considered to be the most light hearted the series has ever gotten. A story that stupid is only something P4 could've done. P3 is too dark, while P5 is darker than P4, it's not as dark as P3

Probably because at the time, Persona 5 Royal was still in development and they were waiting for that game to be out long enough to release Kasumi along with the female protagonist as DLC for both games, if that was the plan, it makes sense if you ask me. Though for that, I agree that they should've just waits for Royal to come out to release the two dancing games to be able to include tracks from Royal in Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight as well as have Kasumi and FeMC as DLC dancers. Also, I always thought the open mouths in Persona 4 Dancing were the characters' being shocked or surprised and their jaws dropped. Also, that replacement voice of Rise really makes me believe that they're going to bring in a new English voice actress for the female protagonist if they're doing a remake of P3 since in Portable, she was also voiced by Laura Bailey.

I am not a huge rhythm game fan, but I never really played them, but I am a persona fan and picked this up for 16 bucks, and was having fun being my first entry in this genre, its very friendly for newcomers and experts alike. I will say that I did get all three games of Persona Dancing games. Mainly because the bundle is the only way to get the console version of Persona 4 Dancing All Night. I did want to get that game just for finish up the Persona 4 story. Originally, when I first heard that Persona 4 has a dancing game (this was back before Persona 3 and 5 has their dancing games), I did not think much about it, till I find out later that it has a storyline that set it after Persona 4 Golden epilogue. I had thought that Persona 3 and 5 dancing games would have something like Persona 4, in terms of story, but it is like you mentioned in your review. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the characters (excerpt for Yukari from Persona 3), but I guess P4D did spoil me a bit in terms of thinking there is a big bad that the cast of P3 and P5 have to do their dancing to beat in their dancing games.

I realy like P4's dencing game the most, it was so well done and New, fresh. Next is probably the P3's Who has for me best sountrack in the Persona series, maybe even SMT, but they upgraded them so they sound even better. The Only problem is One Mitsuru's song and the marketing. My least favourite dancing game is P5's, it already had for me a weak soundtrack, probably my least second least favourite After P1 PSP version soundtrack, and I Just couldn't connect with most of songs, espetialy remixed. My problems are soundtrack that was weak, Ryuji's dancing (AKA. THAT'S NOT DANCING RYUJI!!), and of course the marketing but I must give praise that they have better social links.

I assumed the reason they Say Ms. Ochimizu is out of respect. Isn't it normal to refer to someone older and in a position of "power" as Mr or Ms? They seem to do it in P5 Royal. Dr Maruki is always Refered to as Dr Maruki, i don't remember that ever changing besides maybe with a friend of his.

I think this is one of the best rhythm games because the soundtrack is iconic to the series as well as the characters so its much better in my opinion than a pop generic song list with made up characters like other rhythm games.
