My fav childhood hero! The Ghost who walks, the man who cannot die! Down thru the ages, 21 generations of Phantoms fought evil by land, sea and air... My fav line... "There are times when Phantom leaves the jungle... and walks the street like an ordinary man... this is one of those times!" Usually followed by an ambush in the dark or a bar fight.

He is the first Indian super hero.. In my childhood my father would read me phantom in the news paper. Merely 4 or 5 black and white pics.. Only on Sunday.. No internet no mobile nothing what a beautiful time it was.. My favourite phantom forever..

The original hero of the Jungle...Black Panthers a rip off

I have been a fan of The Phantom since I was a child but by no means is The Black Panther a rip off. Though the similarities are there (passing it down from father to son for example), they end with The Panther being the king of an African nation while The Phantom is not. While The Panther's true identity is known to the world at large being that he is a head of state, The Phantom's isn't and The Phantom's adversaries are tricked into believing that they are fighting the same person that they believe that they have killed. Lastly, as far as the differences go, The Phantom does not have super powers (the strength of ten tigers was strictly created for The Defenders of The Earth TV series for the 27th Phantom and any powers if he has any, have yet to be introduced in the modern era.) in comparison to T'Challa's enhanced abilities and The Phantom's resources come from the vast amount of treasures he has accumulated from his battles with The Singh Brotherhood over the past 4 centuries while T'Challa's is a result of mining the Vibranium in his nation of Wakanda. The similarities are debatable at best, however, The Black Panther and The Ghost Who Walks are two completely different characters.
