The cognition is based on whoever made the Palace. What a person who enters it perceives is not what the cognition of the Palace perceives. If they entered Akechi's Palace (if he were to have one), then the Phantom Thieves' guns would theoretically do nothing.

I'm not sure I agree with the idea that the Gangstars would ruthlessly kill. One of Giorno's key skills is his ability to read a person's intentions- Hence why he chooses to flee from Koichi rather than try to kill him and why he chooses to spare Bucciarati. With the Phantom Thieves being a bunch of teenagers whose hearts are in the right place (except Akechi), Giorno would probably tell the gang to avoid killing them. And really... Only Abbacchio would ignore this advice, and he's the least likely to kill someone in the first place due to his stand just being less suited to battle. The rest of them would probably believe Giorno, to varying extents. Giorno may be an unhinged killer when he believes his opponent to be someone that has evil intentions, but he has a very soft heart for those who he can tell has good intentions. And as for the rest of the gang... They could have easily held Trish hostage to lure out the boss, but chose to deliver her to him. Even with his plan to kill and overthrow Diavolo, Bucciarati did legitimately want to protect Trish as long as he could. I just don't see them going for the kill in this scenario.

@@TOKKO_dv it’s not that they looked scarily real, it’s that they are so similar to real guns that they can be used as real guns with very little customization, which is why the yakuza guy wants them, he wants access to a large amount of guns but can’t get them by normal means since they are banned in Japan (if I remember right, I haven’t played P5 in a while). Plus with meta verse logic, the gun’s ability to shoot relies on both people’s cognition. Joker’s knowledge that they can be used as real guns and Mista believing it’s a real gun is all they need for it to be effective. Shoot at Joker and have Joker dodge it, and now the phantom thieves will witness this and assume it’s a threat too, making the gun usable on all people

Ok here's what I imagined happening: Joker and Mista get into a shootout. Joker gets caught off guard due to the nature of SexPistols redirecting bullets and instinctively uses his Persona to buffer the impact of the bullets. In the process, Joker accidentally flings his gun and Mista get a hold of it. Mista goes for the kill using Joker's gun and Arsene blocks the impact easily with Joker smiling smugly and launching a counterattack. Mista assumes that the new pistol he acquired has similar caliber to his own gun and attempts to reload after finding cover. It's at this point that Mista realizes that he's holding a realistic airsoft gun. This is confusing because this gun was dealing real damage to the surroundings when Joker was using it and Mista was able to shoot at Joker earlier. Out of frustration, Mista throws it at joker to distract from SexPistols redirected bullets since he believes that the gun is worthless. After using Arsene to shield himself from the redirected bullets, Joker reclaims his discarded gun and shoots at Mista. Mista doesn't dodge because he knows it's not a real gun and the bullets impact deal no damage at this point.

A few things popped in my head after finishing the video so I'm just gonna list them: 1) Does the Phantom Thieves personas stay out/active when they are summoned or do they only appear when a spell/skill is cast? 2) Does the Phantom Thieves have a limit on how much they can cast? 3) Can the Phantom Thieves personas be temporarily disabled in the similar situation like how the P4 fighting game does it, where if you interrupt the opponent casting enough times they won't be able to use their persona for a limited time? 4) Does Mista's attacks have the piercing ability?

I kinda wanna know what would happen if a Wild Card got hit with a Stand Arrow, since a persona is just a physical form to your personality, and those Wild Card holders have a bunch they can just swap out at any time. It has also been stated that a stand and a persona are different, so what I'm really wondering is: If a Wild Card user gets pierced by a Stand Arrow and does not die, will it turn their personas into a stand, will it generate a new stand based on the ever changing values and personality of the Wild Card holder, OR could it create something closer to a mainline SMT demon?

Stands usually reflect who the user is as a person. Their core beliefs, a deep sated fear, a repressed part of their psyche, a closely held hope or ideal, etc. Those traits are also something that can be boiled down into a single word; Giono is Life, Fugo is Toxic, B.I.G is Persistent, Jotaro is Stoic, and so on. The problem is that it is impossible to know what form they'll take until you've acquired one, even if that Stand shares a similar base with another Stand. That said, in the case of a wildcard user it would likely have an ability that reflects their their core of Adaptable, and would present some facet of the word unique to them.

Even if the First crew (won't spoil who the victor is for those who are reading the comments prior to finishing) wins, I did think of some other win cons or things that can counter the other gang 31:34 I would argue Joker with his 3rd eye could could figure out where they are only because joker with it is able to see where people have gone. Alongside in strikers, he is able to see the outline of shadows through walls, but I myself would find that a bit flimsy, He might be able to pinpoint who is more of a dangerous target then others though. 32:42 In the p4 manga, Rise is fighting Yu and Yosuke and the 2 can't get a hit on Rise, until they use sukukaja, which makes Yu and Yosuke so fast that Rise can't perceive what happened, and once she did (direct quote from teddie) "It was already too late" I would argue prior to the sukukaja they already had faster than light reaction times like what you guys say, but with sukukaja, it makes them Yu and Yosuke move faster than the opponent's reaction time (speed of light in this case). 43:34 I couldn't find anything for the opposite affect for sukukaja, as in I don't know if it would make you perceive things that much slower. But that is a thing On overall point I want to mention is the concept of will power: If we were to use GER which honestly, I don't know how the fuck to even bring him up, In Persona 2q: Enlil erases all the persona users out of existence and out of sheer will power, FemC, Makoto, Yu, and Joker just come back. So I wouldn't say this would allow Joker to win, but it may confuse GER if he is able to put him in a loop or erase Joker and he just comes back.

In the argument of Mista: 1.- If he gets a hold of their guns, pretty sure he would try to reload, or at least check how many bullets they got left, at which point he would realize they're fake, disabling guns entirely. 2.- Can Sex Pistols deflect a bomb? 3.- Is One Shot Kill a bullet? 4.- If we assume no hold back, full murder intent, and the Thieves start unloading all their ammo on the gang, with a pistol, an smg, a rifle, a revolver, a shotgun, a laser gun and a launcher... Would the Gang be able to deal with all that? 5.- If Joker just Morning Star's all of them, or if he Die For Me's everyone... What then? Dunno, just a thought

1. I think all of the Passione Gang would be able to tell their guns are fake on closer inspection. Mista is the obvious one since he's the gun user, but they're all gang members, and guns are a pretty common tool in gangs. I'm pretty sure that Bruno at the very least can for sure tell the difference between a fake and real gun, and if that happens, they'd be rendered useless. 2. We only ever see Sex Pistols re-direct / stop Mista's own bullets, not other projectiles. Either way, tons of the Passione Gang have an answer for projectiles. Bruno can open his pocket dimension and drop the bomb inside, Trish can make a malleable wall to absorb the blast, Giorno can spawn a tree branch and lift / push the bomb away. Heck, if they have enough time Mista or Narancia could blow up the bomb before it even gets close to them, potentially blowing it up in the Phantom Thieves' faces. 3. No clue, but like I said, I don't think Sex Pistols can directly control other projectiles. 4. Aside from the laser, it would be as simple as Trish grabbing the floor under her and making a rubber wall. Every single bullet would be stopped by that one maneuver alone. Pretty sure anyone from the gang could survive a couple of laser shots as well (which isn't even a factor without Akechi) 5. Joker doesn't usually reach end game with those abilities unless its another playthrough. I think it's better to assume Joker won't have post game skills like those (also how is this in argument of Mista?)

@@theannoyedlink5153 My argument against Joker having moves like Morning Star, Cosmic Flare, etc was that almost nobody playing Persona 5 for their first time will ever know those moves even exist, let alone obtain them end game. Because of that, I think it's unfair to give Joker those moves, since the time frame given in this video was "everyone has their end game abilities". Fither and his gang really just did a poor job defining what abilities the Phantom Thieves would have. Like, even knowing it's their end game builds, that does not narrow down Joker's abilities whatsoever. He's like Giorno in a sense, he could have anything, but unlike Giorno, that comes down to a variable that is impossible to reasonably determine (unless he has a canon team in Persona 5: The Animation, because that's the canon representation of Joker).

If we put this in terms of "This fight in character V out of character" it's 100% different. Out of character? The PTs just nuke the fuck out of the gang and that's GG, ryuji probably still dies because purple haze and for this (as said in video) we're saying healing magic doesn't restore lost limbs so front line people still get disfigured massively at least. In character half the PTs die before nuking the Gang, but even then I would say who ever nukes last (or if multiple people nuke giorno at the same time, which would result in many insta deaths which depending on who dies could mean a win for the gang.) will also die from Giorno damage reflection or Bucciarati zipper camping. Granted it's sort of imbalanced in general as a fight, we're giving the phantom thieves everything short of *BIG GUN* while we're also denying the thing that makes the fight invalid (Which is more so saying items are bullshit than saying anything about the video itself). SO, TL;DR: phantom thieves win with loses. Unless we give the gang the ""No" button", in which case easy W for the gang. *Now if we do a "No items, equips, or heals" version of the fight things get funky really damn fast.*

Damage reflection is a bit odd in this case because most persona users are immune to their primary element. If Makoto nukes Giorno but hits a butterfly he made, will that do nuclear damage to her? Or would it just do the damage regardless? We don't know. I'd say it's closer to the former, so, Giorno's damage reflection isn't as applicable in this context.

@@blurb9319 I'd disagree because when shovel guy in part 5 hit the frog that giorno had on him the frog didn't take the damage, it just acted as if the damage that would've effected the frog hurt him instead. Later on when I think Bucciarati hit the fly (I am not 100% on this but I am using it as example of later on) that was his tooth, said fly got hurt and the damage was reflected. Though it is just up to interpretation, based on how it's shown as I personally am assuming it reflected the damage they would of taken. Regardless the gang still loses without GER/requiem shenanigans.

@@ShahStark Given some encounters with regular humans, I'd be game to say thats just how Jojo works, but that in-of itself could hold true for Persona Users more-so. A good point to make would be actually *looking* at some of the Manga for the Q games, namely the Arrow-Feat from Naoto. While an astronomically fast Persona does not beget an astronomically fast Persona User, the reaction-speed alone paired with her exceptional IQ means that Naoto *alone* has good standing to beat a majority of the Bucciarati Gang. While this isn't technically comparable to any of the Thieves in general, the fact that they've shown feats of exceptional agility in both the Metaverse and Q Games leads me to believe that while certain Persona Users can get exceptionally talented in certain physical and mental areas, there has to be a sort of... base-line for all the users. And given how its shown even bumbling oafs like Ryuji sneak around with enough speed that they become a literal *blur*, it does make it ALOT harder to gauge whether even the feats of Jojo Character's Insane Durability are comparable.

Like the reasons joker tanks severe damage is because his persona can, its the same reason why without it he would've been killed by akechi but with it he really is only worried about the accumulated damage from being shot, Unlike Giorno who will very much die if he's hit by anything.

in my own personal opinion there's really two ways you could pit an actual fight between two characters (or teams in this case) first is just Death Battle rules, "analyze their weapons, armor, and skills" and put them in a no-holds fight second is an in-character fight with only the "why are they fighting?" being hand-waved, which imo is more interesting to use a Death Battle as an example, were the Anakin v Kakashi fight to not have been no-holds and instead been in-character, I'm positive Anakin would have been limited by the Jedi Code even the post-battle analysis brings up how the Code limits what Jedi can do *because* of the sheer overwhelming power The Force can give people

My big problem with Ger (More or so its fanbase I guess) is that its an ability that gets used once against an individual who isnt really that strong (Compared to a lot of characters Ger can supposedly beat), never gets shown fighting against any other high level reality warpers (Excluding eyes of heaven where it looses to above heaven Dio) and also is pretty vaugue in how the ability supposedly works in which it definently has turn back to 0 but then people act like Ger could for instance put Goku in a deathloop even though we see that he actually supposedly had to kill Diavolo physically by beating him up instead of it being like a "Your in a deathloop now lol" which feats wise Ger could not put a dent in Goku or in this scenario the phantom thieves (Especially if Joker has null physical). So basically my point is that even if turn to 0 is an almighty ability that works against nigh every fictional character then theres just no proof towards Giorno being able to do anything more than stalemate.

For all we know, Giorno would have to be conscious that he's going to be attacked for Return to 0 activates itself, or not, maybe Return to 0 would only work with King Crimson's Time Skip. You just do not know how GER works. GER does not care how strong the other character is, just if they are within causality and slower than itself (immeasurably faster than infinite speed). Goku would not be on a death loop because he would need to be killed first, and GER is too weak to do that. Tho, Joker would still die to attack reflection from animals, specially if his will is reset to 0, which is necessary for his "spirit of rebellion" to kick in and summon personas, as it is literally willpower. ---- But most of the time, it does lead to a stalemate in vs debates.

im fairly certain that the reason guns work in the metaverse is because the shadows think they are real guns because of how realistic they are, so that means that if mista DID pull out a purple gun, the pt wouldnt believe its real, hence no damage, however, the phantom theives KNOW they have fake guns, but the gang doesnt, so if mista WERE to steal one of their guns, it would have no affect on them, because they know it isnt real

Honestly the most insane part of part 5 is the fucking names. Except for unnamed characters and 2 insignificant characters, those being Luca and Anita, every new name just has at least one random italian word thrown in. The most insane ones imo are Narancia, Doppio and Pesci. Narancia is one letter of arancia which is fucking "Orange". Doppio means "double", which isn't too insane until you see his last name which is vinegar which isn't even Italian. And then you have Pesci, which means "Fish". Which mother would call her child Fish. She definitely wanted him to be bullied.

I think it makes the damage proportional to the person dealing. Also, I headcanon that that ability only procs if the organism is passive or isn't actively attacking you, explaining how Leaky Eye Luca was punished for flattening the frog while Diavolo didn't explode from stomping the scorpion

Rancid idea for next year’s JoJo June Persona Face Off: SEES against the villains of Part 3 in order. Something between a story rewrite of part 3 with the Persona 3 party, and an actual idea Storm as to how SEES could and would fair against the many small fries that lead up to DIO. Start with Door-Kun, Akihiko, Mitsuru, and Yukari. Junpei Joins post Polnareff, Fuuka joins after Yellow Temperence, Aigis joins just after Fortune, Ken and Koromaru join after Death13, and Shinji joins and Dies on the same clock the Iggy does in standard JJBA Part3.

I think the biggest thing thats completely forgotten is that its directly stated that having a Persona *drastically* increases the users normal, base-line abilities. Hence why they can survive literal hell-freezing Ice or stand in the middle of the wrath of *fucking Zeus* willy-nilly and still hold up fine.

So something I was wondering, would purple Haze be able to affect the phantom thieves while in their Thieves getup as it is a self actualized cognitive version of themselves. Do their bodies still function the same way as the real world. Do they obtain greater durability, dexterity, and strength BECAUSE of their costumes or is joker just THAT Chad to be able to do all those acrobatics without any significant training. Under the assumption that the costumes perform this function it's also not a stretch to say they experience all physical damage as mental damage and its that overload that causes them to be KO'ed / lose control of their costumes.
