It's always a pleasure to listen to you gentlemen - you are both doing pioneering work. We live in an overmedicated (" a pill for every ill")society ruled by the BIG pharma.Sadly, there is no money in simple and healthy "Pioppi Diet" style foods and lifestyle. However,as with most things in life,we do have a personal choice -from the people we take advice from, the books we read, to what we put into our shopping baskets.

It is so disheartening to deal with our current medical system. My mom started doing low carbs diet and successfully reduce her sky high Triglyceride number (200) to 75 without taking Statin. Her cholesterol numbers were so good. They were better than a lot of the twenty years old. You know what the nurse practitioner said to her "We are going to put you on Statin as a precaution". I was there and gave her some pushback but nothing seemed to get through her. We gave up and just ignored her prescription. Also the IC Metoprolol (50 mg) prescribed to my mom dropped her heart rate to super low and sent her straight to the hospital.

I never understand why there is a need to slow the heart down. The heart should be able to regulate itself to deliver the right blood to other organs of the body. Artificially depressing the activity of the heart by slowing it down essientally at the same time to deprive other organs of the blood requirements. How does such action make sense?

@@nikkion2140 According to a French doctor , all drugs used for heart are absolutely useless ! And if they change the level/ balance of the minerals and ions in the blood , they can cause problems , especially to tge heart ! And my personal opinion : some people think they are smarter than God ??? God doesn't know what's the best blood pressure for every person ?

Those Cardiologists are prescribing dual Antiplatelet medicines ,Statin and multiple blood pressure medicines as per American/ European Cardio protocol and precisely not based on individual paients. Beta blockers are prescribed to reduce load on the Heart by restricting the heart from beating freely as per autonomous system and thereby weakening the heart from normal functioning which is an useless and out dated idea to reduce blood pleassure and load on heart. @@nikkion2140

I'm 66 and feel very good. I'm quite active. Have been lucky in that I've never been seriously ill. My Dr still wants me on statins though because my total cholesterol is 11.4 (both LDL & HDL over 8). Every other marker that was mentioned in this video is bang on ideal. Even my Dr accepts that. Interestingly, he said that as I have no clinical issues, he suggested it may be down to my effectively keto diet. I have heard about lean mass hyper responders too. Based on Nick Norwitz's Oreo experiment, I'll increase my carbs a bit before my next blood test to see if that lowers it (not with Oreos though, with veg). I'm not concerned as I trust my body knows what it's doing, but I'd like to understand what influences this.

No one will convince me that clogged arteries don't have a primary roll in high BP. Been complaining about numbness in my right leg for 9 years and what have they done nothing. absolutely nothing but recommend statins. Went to donate blood not long ago. Mentioned away they could have their blood banks over flowing with blood. "how's that they asked. Taking cholesterol out of the blood. The wide smile on her face was all the answe I needed

I have what I’ve been told is idiopathic hypertension, well controlled for many years with medication. My cholesterol is 5.8, and I was prescribed Lipitor. I have had a stroke. I’m not sure what more I can do to prevent a further stroke.

Can my heart breathing problem be related to my Pfizer Booster Vaccination, as my problems only incurred immediately after having it? I had no problems previously and was fit & healthy prior to having the booster Vaccination.

@@ProLongevity Not the only one : kidney disease causes always high blood pressure , because the body tries to compensate the slow work of the kidneys : this I've seen in a specialist's video who explained that only treating the kidney problem , the blood pressure can go back to normal - if treating only the symptoms by medicating the high blood pressure , the result will be none =zero !( not a change in the level of blood pressure !)
