It amazes me that people forget that we replaced 5 starters on defense, which included doesn’t include adding Kevin Byard, 2 on Offense, and both coordinators. The defense has been dealing with injuries (Avonte Maddox, Justin Evans) in the secondary all year and has just gotten to play with a consistent unit within the past 2-3 games. That is why I think we ply off zone soooo much🤬! I think as they grow together they will improve and with an easier schedule on the back end, hopefully gain more confidence and become more aggressive!

I’m kind of both of those people, but slightly more in camp 2. We have an injured QB, a partially new team, and we have a very difficult schedule against very good NFL teams. I’m just happy that we’re winning. In the past we had a very bad habit of dominating in the first half and then running out of steam. If it’s between that or what we’ve been doing (essentially the opposite) I’ll take it. I know they’re working on tightening up. This is the only way we’re ever gonna get a 10-1, top of the league team that is still humble and hungry. Wild season. Go birds 🦅

IMO, the Eagles' opponents spent all offseason designing defenses to shut down what they did last year, and each week they're able to make it work for a half, then the coaches go to plan B, and the roster is so talented the other defenses can't make the adjustments in time to stop them.

Seems like they are a psychological team this year. They're so physical, they seem to allow other teams to think they've got the upper hand, and by the end of the game, opponents are exhausted and cant stop the clutch play of our elite play makers.

I think AFTER The Seahawks game The Eagles will be in their complete form. Having to play The Cowboys, Cheifs, Bills, 49ers, Cowboys & Seahawks in that order is going to get this team into shape. This year has been tough forsure. We haven't showed the amount of dominance that we showed last year and I don't know if continuing to win like this is sustainable. I would like to see The Eagles run the ball more early in the game to get comfortable. I've notice that they try to hit home runs early and when it doesn't work then they result going to the run which then opens up the offense. I've heard through the grapevine that the coaching is keeping the playbook close to the vest this way come the playoffs we can EXPLODE. Don't know if that's true... would be interesting if that is the case.

It's not super complicated. They have a ton of talent and two inexperienced coordinators that are trying to succeed without taking risks. If you get a racecar as your first car, you can drive it slowly until you learn its limits or you can crash it. These coordinators are just trying not to crash the car. Its frustrating. They are forced to play seriously the second half of the game and they have so much talent that they can do it.

But when they can't they open it up and it's unstoppable 1 cuz we have too many weapons 2 they didn't game plan for what's out their at the clutch time so when they see it they have to communicate.

a lot of it has to do with brian johnson’s inability to understand the first half of football, he’s new to the league and doesn’t make the right decisions until he’s seen enough from the opposition, he’s a very adaptive play caller for better or got worse, and the defense has just been majorly injury ridden all season

Just a personal observation, the real area of contention currently is the middle of the field on defense (linebackers/safties)... They sort of 'gambled' on this, stemming all the way back to the off season leading up to training camp. They've had to address replacing more than a couple of players moving on from the organization for one reason or another, and didn't adequately address the talent drain or the depth at those positions. This is how the organization rolls, they simply don't value the positions in the greater scheme of the payroll. Factoring that in with bodies physically dropping left and right from injury, and here we are... never mind the change in the coordinator (I think Desai does as well as he can with what he has)... Both sides of the football have to get it together, if/when they do tho there'll be hell to play on the football field for the opposing team(s)... And of course, the caveat - "Your actual mileage may vary..."

As far as their record at the end of the season. If they stay true to their fashion against SF, Dallas, and Sea. and win all 3. That would lock up home field advantage at 13-1 with 3 games to play. I wouldn't be surprised if they lost 2 out of 3 at the end against NYG, ARIZ, NYG. Finishing with a 14-3 record. Opposing fans will say what they say going into the playoffs. Things like: We destroyed the NYG, but you lost, so you are not good. Loser mentality at its finest. Winners focus on themselves, Losers focus on other teams ahead of them. Or live in the ancient past. I also like to point out and repeat what you mentioned in the vid. I been saying this since week 5. The Eagles go through the motions during the 1st half of every game. Whether by design or not. They play a bland/vanilla style of offense. Almost like they give their opponents hope. And then the 2nd half starts and no matter the team, they turn on the juice and dominate their opponent. I do agree with some that say. Playing like that can come back and bite you. And there had been some close calls for that argument. But when you see a team do this and play this way all season long and are sitting with a 10-1 record. It isn't luck. Only people calling it luck are the ones who haven't actually watched the Eagles games, or the ones who hate to see the Eagles winning. People will disagree. But as i mentioned above. The ones that disagree are the ones who fit into the 2 categories i mentioned. Only other possibility is: they are not real fans at all and just say and repeat what others say. But again, those fans don't watch the game, or don't understand the game and think that NFL teams should be the same in REAL LIFE as Madden Football. Which would be a person who is stuck in a fantasy world and lost in reality. People love their stats. Some love stats so much they actually lost touch of REAL NFL FOOTBALL. Stats are great. But if you don't get the "W" when the game ends. What good do all those stats really mean. Can you imagine: you are sitting with friends who cheer for the same team you do, "say 10 years from now" and your talking about how great a certain QB played, or how dominant a certain defense played. And after hours of talking. The REAL IMPORTANT question is asked. Did they win? (1) they hang their head and say NO. (2) They never answer the question and the Smiles turn to disappointing frowns. So bottom line: W's vs L's is and always will be the most important stat.

Against Dallas we had a PI and a roughing the passer give them the ball on the 6. Against the Bills two false starts pushed us back and we made a 59 yard FG in the rain.
