If we just focus on Japan as the main source of our foreign investments as well as infrastructure, most of the planned infrastructure could have been finished already. Our government keeps on pursuing Chinese investments but we are just getting toyed by them! Enough of them!! They had been getting our resources and corrupting our leaders but we aren't getting anything substantial from them! Japan would need Filipinos in the future because of their aging population and we are service-oriented people. We should have taken advantage of their offers on infrastructure development because they had devastated our country during WW2! That's the least they can repay us!!

Don't blame Japan, Japan also devastated at the end of WW2, blame corruption within our own country of why we're having low human development and justice!

Surely Japan and Korea probably have great interest in a place like the Philippines for it also has a long growing periods and it can grow many different crops year round also the Philippines has actual oil where Korea has some energy resources like coal and it has resources like steel and Japan does a little bit as well although finding crude in either Korea or Japan is actually a little bit difficult and only that it's also location they're both a very closely in proximity to one another and it's always good to have an extra factory somewhere if there's a disaster one place or the other not only that they can trade other things to the Philippines while the Philippines in exchange can trade food stores and vice versa where America can probably invest as well although it's further away and sometimes makes it probably a little bit difficult for both it's just economic cooperation as long as it's all good with the Filipino people the Japanese people the American people the South Korean people as long as they're all happy and they get to have popcorn and go to the movies every once in awhile or maybe go fishing for some wonderful food

Three Signs Why the Maharlika Investment Fund will be a Facility to Recover and Use the so-called Marcos Wealth 1. The rush to have the Maharlika Wealth Fund bill, which was filed last 28 November and is likely to be passed before Congress adjourns for the Christmas season. The rush is to ensure that the Philippines has a Sovereign Wealth Fund in place when President Marcos Jr attends the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on January 15-20, 2023. The SWF may be the requirement of the global powers that be for the release of the Marcos wealth, or at a minimum, it will be the leverage by President Marcos to convince the powers that be to release the Marcos wealth. 2. The creation of the MWF despite unfavorable global market conditions. The current global investment environment is very volatile. Even SWFs of highly modernized countries suffered huge losses. 3. The eagerness to create the MWF despite the Philippines having little or no surpluses. There has been no report of a government trade surplus in the past. Also, there is hesitancy to use our international reserves since those act to stabilize our currency and the economy. With the removal of the pension funds, the lawmakers identified dividends being remitted by the government corporations (GOCCs) as the main source of funds. But these funds are revenues of the government which are in fact being used to run the government. No pension funds, no international reserves, no trade surplus, and definitely no revenue surplus, which can only be determined at the end of the year. We can only have Revenue Surplus if the government spends less or make belt-tightening measures, such as the withholding of the pork barrel fund allocations of senators and congressmen. These Senators and Congressmen need to be more creative in identifying sources of funds for the MWF. Many of the sources of funds, unfortunately, are actually in private businesses which are Cash Cows for many of them. Anyway, after all is said and done, the remaining source of the MWF will be the 90% share of the Filipino people from the Marcos wealth. Hopefully soon.
