China should show its officials maps during the Tang to Qing Dynasties and its 1912-1947 Constitutions. These official documents all show that China has Hainan as its southernmost maritime territory and proves that its 9/10/11-Dash Line has no historical basis.

If they have a map being drawn by the Chinese during the year 1900. It was the Spaniards who made a map of the entire Philippines in the year 1521. So that is the real map in which many islets, rocks & shoal are within that map.

Exactly, why was it drawn as dash lines? The whole thing was dubious from the start. The cartographer who drew the map saw the "south china sea label" in the western map and hesitated drew dashed lines around it. He even translated the English names of the shoals into Chinese.

Considering every countries has a 200 nautical exclusive economic zone wherein China is also one of the signatories and its base on United Nation Convention on the Law of the Sea or UNCLOS! Which China does not want to follow for they China 🇨🇳 knows that the 200 nautical exclusive economic zone of the Philippines had various or have vast of minerals , oil, and ga’as they created the ten dash line so that China can avail themselves with all oil, ga’as, and other minerals which belongs to the Philippines 🇵🇭.
