I feel like the the two water tribes represent yin and yang from a serten perspektive. The sourthern water tribe represent yang becurse the nation haw surfferd ALOT becurse of the war and is gretly dammedge from what it ones was, but in spite of all that the people in it can stil smile, and have fun if given the chance. The northen tribe represent yin, it stands grand and mighty and sems to do well, but the people in it is denied Rights to things like chosing your marriage, and lerning bending despite of lituarly being material fore it. (You can problebly olso swarp the two, and see it from that perspektiv instead if you want) Olso Katara learnt northen style from Pakku, who embodies the lighter side of water bending, plus she learnt sourthern style from Hama, who embodies the Darker side of water bending, and in tern she became the wery symbol of yin and yang when she Mastert both the light and dark side of water bending. Edite: i know its a little bit of topic, but i wanted to get it out there.

You brought up an interesting point about Zuko’s eye. I’ll give you a bit more to it, drawing from Full Metal Alchemist. Sometimes there is a price to be paid with truth, truth can be liberating but there are consequences of it. Zuko got a glimpse of his nation’s cruelty as a kid and that glimpse burned him. From there on he more less blames himself for what happened to him, rather than holding the people responsible accountable. That is coming of age. There comes a time when your you lose your innocences. Hence the price the truth. Moving into Iroh’s approach. Truth can be painful but in itself isn’t bad, part of maturity is learning how to handle it. Iroh’s response is to draw wisdom from the people around him, people who are different than him. To an extent, wisdom and support gain from your peers can help stabilize you when faced with the cruelty of this world. Zuko faces Ozai a second time and speaks out against him but then uses Iroh’s teachings to brace him against the painful truth - Ozai is a terrible father who never loved Zuko. Ultimately the teachings of Iroh saved Zuko’s life. Both spiritually and physically.

i dont see "choosing your destiny" and "ccepting the destiny that was bestowed upon you" as 2 different things realy... remember the matrix? that Neo said "i dont belive in destiny" and yet, he followed his destiny... why? because he chose to... aang could very well ignored his destiny as the avatar, in fact, he "sorta did" all previous avatars where telling him to kill the fire lord... but he chose not to, he choose his own path, a path different from the one his previous lifes where trying to make him follow. same as neo, he didnt have to be the chosen one.. he chose to be the chosen on, he chose to fight for what he belived in. our destiny is based on our choices, and aang chose to be a good person who cares about others, all that happens come from his choices, his destiny comes from his choices, not the other way around.
@DrUpauli3 жыл бұрын
I agree with this to some extent actually. Maybe "understanding where you are needed" would have been better? Because he still did have to accept it was his destiny to take out the fire lord no?
@joaosoares-rr5mj3 жыл бұрын
@@DrUpauli "underdtanding where you are needed" is forcing you to do something... Is saying that youre doing it because you have to. It is rather you choosing do to, what people need... It is still a choice, you can choose to ignore it, is up to each and every person to make a chouce on what they want to be. Ozai chose to be an asshole, zukocchose to be good. If ozai wanted, he could have stoped the war, this could be his destiny, bur he chose a different path.

I hope you make a third part of this video. The first two were great. Hope you make more content. Maybe you can start doing some Legend of Korra content too.

I'm all philosophized out rn bud haha. Probably gonna play some video games and take it easy for a bit. I don't have much more to say in all honesty. The next philosophy of avatar videos that I have qued are basically just regurgitating points I've already made in previous videos. Maybe watching some new show or reading a new book will give me more insight haha. I think I told you I have a playlist for my philosophical videos you can check out a few of them. Don't even need to watch the show to enjoy them imo. kzbin.info/aero/PLLulDQ-JpyxL6nETwCsUsKjb_OkHZpSEh Korra? Maybe I can look more into it. My Tenzin character analysis was really good I think but nothing else comes to mind

I think the theme of the entire avatar story (both the last airbender and legend of Kora) is growing up... and seeing the consequences of people who do grow up and those who don't 😊

People who engage in politics could learn a LOT from this. Its such an easy way to think, but people have such kindergarten level mindsets. Oh, you disagree with me on even the most miniscule of things? Well you are evil, you're wrong, you're stupid, and I hate you. Even if they don't even know you or if you didn't do anything wrong. How can a simple and excellent messaged be refused simply because people prefer to be petty, its unfortunate. Anyways splendidly done video.

I believe you should watch the animated movie Bilal, because it's based on actual people and I genuinely believe you'd like it. If you make a review of this movie, I'd be the first one to click. Anyway thank you for your content and have a nice day!
