To add to the last point I made in the end about finding meaning in your intimate relationships, I think it is more fulfilling to mean the world to a few people than mean a little bit to a lot of people. A lot of the problem with celebrities is how they can't form intimate relationships even though they have many superficial relationships. Of course, I think about this AFTER it's uploaded. Thanks for the support regardless!

This video needs more attention. I've watched self motivation videos man that tell people it's their fault they are not kicking ass and becoming self made millionaires. I've seen videos that tell people to eat less work out meditate and hustle till you die to make it basically shaming people for being "average". Your video is some of the most constructive nuanced approaches on how to live a better life. People suffering from depression, and self esteem problems need to watch your video. People that feel conflicted between their good side and shadow side should watch this video. Really great heartfelt genuine advice man. The best I've ever seen thank you for sharing your insight 👏

Thank you so much for the kind words! I don't think I actually live up to that praise but I thank you for it haha. I think you will like my video titled "what is the point of living" it's somewhat similar to this one. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJ6XdZ2MYqdnZ5I If you feel so inclined, please share this video around. Reddit is the best way to get a video to blow up (maybe share it on r/thelastairbender or r/motivation or whatever other reddit you think this would be appropriate to share) but sharing on any social media or just with your friends is always appreciated.

@@DrUpauli no problem man we all just try to do our best, but sometimes the cynicism of life can really bring out the worst parts of us, and it's awesome to see a video where someone is telling you that it's ok to be the best you can be in your own little corner of the universe. I honestly think that's the key to living a satisfying life. Showing up and trying your best for people that deserve your best effort.
@DrUpauli3 жыл бұрын
Very true! I still think its important to still stress that you should still work hard and passionately. We may not change the world but we can still be there and be the best for those around us and that's just as important. I would even argue that meaning the world to some people is more important than meaning a little bit to a lot of people.

@@DrUpauli sincerely man this video you made hit different. It's easy to torture yourself for who you think you should be rather than just being who you really are. It's like you said with Zuko about being pulled in two directions because you are struggling with your identity. Zuko was having a bad identity crisis, and I feel like as a father of 3 kids I struggle with my identity and purpose. For a long time I've been cynical about being a parent and all the responsibility that comes with it. In a way I feel like Aang, Zuko, and Sokka. I am always questioning my role as a father and as a man, and struggle with my responsibilities as a father. So when you have that advice about showing up for your family and bringing the best you for them it hit hard. Today I was a better version of myself after watching your video and I spent time with my kids with a positive energy. At the end of the day my oldest kid came up to me and asked me if I could spend more time happy like I did today. That question brought me genuine happiness.

17:04 I've been doing videos as a hobby for almost 7 years but I feel that my skill and understanding has spiked massively in the last year. This part really spoke to me because lately I've found myself (often without consciously trying) viewing almost every video I watch through that lense and seeing the little details that goes into editing. Catching the small visual jokes or asterisks that people may miss. When I see a cool edit effect I no longer say "wow that was cool!" I say "I suspect this is how they did it." Or "I wonder if I could do that?" I've really gained that appreciation and eye for editing, and it's because I've found that it's an artistic outlet I'm passionate about.

I feel like Bumi truly understood his destiny. He got captured because he choose to,then sat there refusing to get bailed out just to stike when it was his time! Sokkas teacher also should be mentioned here, he choose his destiny by teaching people sokka and helped him forge his own sword into a formidable blade while also help forging sokka into a formidable strategist! Able to come up with a warplan to bring the "shattered" might of the world against the fire nation to knock them out in a suprise invasion, followed by infiltrating the boiling rock and lastly manages to lead on assault on the airships disablaling quite a lot of them!

“Remember to keep your sanity.” It's anxiety provoking how easy it is to lose your sanity, even if it is momentarily. Bright people with a positive attitude can suddenly change and buy into all kinds of crazy conspiracies. All it takes as a good friend, brother/sister, aunt/uncle or cousin to snap you out of it. Taking from personal experience.

Good video man. I liked how you ended the video with you sitting down and talking and showing shots of real life. I think it helped transition from talking about the lessons in fiction to applying those lessons in our lives. I like your message at the end of committing yourself to a goal. It's hard to keep my goals in mind every second of my day, but I try. Hopefully I get better at it. Can't wait to see what you got for us next time.

Thank you for your continued support Cory, I wont be able to use this camera again unfortunately as I have to give it back to my school and I dont have the money to buy another one but I'm glad its had some good use. I'm not sure if you need your immediate or even long term goals in mind all the time, that may not be possible. Just understand you are working towards something larger so that your mundane life can be infused with some higher meaning

There’s a lot i could say about this video. Instead i’ll just say: the consideration put into understanding the avatar guiding philosophy through symbolism in the show is demonstrated very well. I always enjoy hearing your explanation of events in the series and then visualizing the relatable aspects :,) Nice work

Ian going to be honest the whole video was great, but that last part where you start talking about being the best version of yourself for the people around you hit hard. There's such a simple truth in those words. We get caught up in the negative aspects of the day to day stuff and it's easy to get stuck in a vicious negative cycle of why your life sucks. Knowing that you put your best effort into your family or passion will bring a simple rewarding joy to your life. Great content man. More people need to hear it.

We beat ourselves up for who we are not rather than trying to be who we truly are. We let other's opinion of us stop us from really becoming who we really want to be. We have to learn to be the best version of who we truly are, not what people expect us to be.
