One thing I love about being retired is that I no longer have to contend with people pushing me to be more outgoing or networking at work. I don"t have a set schedule now and I find I love the very early hours of the morning. If I don't have these quiet hours to meditate, read or just sit...I just can't function. I love living alone and I find I am happier now in my life than ever before.

I truly believe that most people no longer know who they are; they are superficial & shallow . They watch too much TV & false news. They live in these beautifully decorated homes along with they themselves decorating themselves with gold & jewels but shallow & empty. Jesus described them in this way; they are like decorated coffins with dead bones inside!

Aloneness is a gift to the self to awaken and see the world through your own heart and see who and what you are. I have looked far and wide for others in the same mindset to share my spiritual experiences and never have found that. Now an elder, realize there is no such thing in my experiences, no one is like each other. This has lead to many questions about myself that cannot be answered anywhere else than in solitude. There is teachings that the spiritual path is lonely, but only lonely from the physical realm, not the higher dimensional realms. Great video, thank you.

Believe me, your NEVER alone. We just can't see well with our human eyes. Meditation & listening to silence, not your thoughts, loosens the binds. Also helps to forget everything entirely & completely (this took years); and a bit dangerous without faith as life-jacket.

All of my family & close friends have passed & this includes my husband. I can no longer work so I absolutely am alone. My fur baby is my constant companion. I miss these people but have little in common with people I meet & I would rather be alone than spend a moment with anyone who is either toxic or self consumed. And I think keeping away from the above keeps me peaceful & sane.

I am not isolated from anyone or anything. I only feel isolated when I’m surrounded by people. Then I pull my thoughts closer and wrap them around me. I feel most connected to myself and God when I find time alone. I can relax and just enjoy being. I have found places to be alone throughout my entire life. I need the solitude to recharge my energy so that I can face the world again. I’m 64 and I cherish my solitude. I have realized many things about myself and my life when I’m alone. Solitude that is forced or caused by circumstance is not the same as chosen solitude. I reject loneliness because it is a negative feeling. 🙏🏼 Namaste

One has to embrace being alone and to know and love oneself or risk being corrupted by outside influences. My favorite quote: Don't be a jerk, try to love everyone, give more than you take, yet realizing you'll only like 7 out of 500 people you meet. It might sound anti-social, but allows one to rid themselves of selfish, phony "friends".

Thank you somuch for such a beautiful video full of real wisdom.Yes, I do remember my childhood and youth. As the saying goes Fortunes comes to you in the guise of misfortune. I underwent severe isolation and solitude during this period .Never did I realise that this is a gift from God. Now I am aged 70 years and feel I have missed and misunderstood this course in my life. Now I crave for the same sense of isolation, because I realise how important this is to reopen my mind and thoughts. This state of mind isbest for creativity I now realise. Though" late than Never" I feel it will help me now a lot. Thanks so much.

So true....I embrace solitude stt times and have fee but well known friends who I have a long history with.. That does not mean that I am not open to new friendships.... I find that there are some, but very few people that I consider true friends. But I enjoy having time for solitude.....I find it calming....i am often looks down on by other people and judgment by them for solitude....but I actually enjoy solitude and no ne should judge another. I need time fr solitude and enjoying the moment....ie being in the present, and enjoying watching the birds come to my feeders, taking care of my dog. I truly am not unfriendly, it is just that I enjoy solitude ast timed. Certain relationships are worth it, others aren't and are actually toxic. Being alone and self reflection is time well spent.

When put alone by circumstance rather then choice was so overwhelming at first. Was like I'm so lonely that I could just shout it out loud. Then I started to feel these pressure's that had always plagued my thoughts that suddenly were beginning to lighten up almost like to make way for this strange but very welcome experience.Sitting at peace with one's self is a virtue not shared by many as I was starting to see as these changes were taking place..After a couple of years now I'm actually not the same person that I once was not inside anyway. And now tranquility of solitude has totally revamped my entire way of perceiving my very existence. Now one of the more relished experiences. What was once fear is now tranquility..

My world no longer exists. It's been lost throughout the 69 yrs I've been slive. What is out there now is so harsh and cruel that I hold myself alone in my home,..happily. I've been alone most of my life so it's no issue. Only now I have a safe place to retreat to.I only go out for s ullpies, food, etc. I'm quite happy in my own company.

I also am and have been since birth an introvert ,but Even alone with myself am never alone ,after all I'm made up of billions of individual cell's and thoughts that I can't stop.

I always had a fear of being alone but now many years later I enjoy living and being alone. I moved to another state and changed my phone number where I have completely gotten rid of all my old friends.

You can really begin to acknowledge the positive and negative in yourself, accept it, move on and improve yourself, without the distractions made by the demands on your attention from others.

I find most human interaction is a distraction from one's spiritual path. Most people do not do the hard work of knowing oneself, of breaking through illusion, but rather distract themselves with the noise & bright lights of this modern world. It's not easy to wake up in this life but it's the path I've chosen. One gets a lot of grief from others for this choice....

Having a Dog is the bes companion ever. We are never alone with a Dog. They totally get us and help keep us emotionally balanced. They will literally love us to death. Having to put my Dog to sleep was the most heartbreaking thing I'd ever had to do, or will ever do again. Their love is so unconditional that the sadness never completely leaves you. If you're lonely, go and adopt a lonely old Dog who will die lonely in a cage having never had the chance to love you unconditionally. 🙏💓💝

As someone who is a bit of an introvert i must admit that while time alone is good, there's nothing like being part of a family. Humans are and have always been social creatures. Thats how we're built.

@@omnichsole4244I don't think they're missing anything. The video starts by saying this is about "the significance of BOTH solitude AND companionship". And, the commenyer literally said "while the time alone is good, there's nothing like being part of a family", which echoes exactly what the video says about being alone to nurture yourself so that you can be good in company. People in comments are too quick to judge, as if like an automatic response of confrontation and conflict.

I've been alone a majority of my life. Getting picked on and Bullyed throughout my childhood I learned that if I stayed quite & low-key it wasn't as bad. But as I grew older I was feared & I didn't like that. Then I started to feel Loved from others & I didn't no how to react. Now that I'm in my mid 40's I'm just kind of lost, outta place? But I now know that it's my Birth Right 2B Happy & Abundant. Idk? Just thought I would would share. Thank you. ♈️🐍🔥

I resonate with this message, and it is amazing how some people will feel sorry for you as if to be alone is abnormal. In my solitude, so much I have learned about myself. I'm leaning to be always concously present, and so much Im achieving being with mostly myself ❤❤

After listening and evaluating my past experiences, I'm facing the first time the choice to "embrace loneliness" during a hard time I'm into! I'm positive in doing this, but we'll see... great thoughts!❤
