-It must’ve been something before CLU screwed it up. -No. He’s me. I screwed it up. Chasing after perfection. Chasing after what was right in front of me. -The thing about perfection is it’s unknowable. It’s impossible but it’s also right in front of us all the time. You wouldn’t know that because i didn’t when i created you. Those quotes will stick with me til the end of my days

There is one known animatic that’s been released on the Internet for what was originally a Tron: Uprising Season 2. In it we see Clu’s obsession with perfection in the form of the two spheres he carries around, how perfectly designed a sphere is; and compare his words to the jagged, ridged and unsymmetrical objects found in Flynn’s room. Of course Clu would be enraged from seeing how imperfect Flynn has become, how much of a deviant his idol became right before his very eyes. I adore the Tron universe, it just feels like a hidden goldmine of lost potential, especially Tron: Uprising. But it’s far too late for a season 2 for several reasons like Bruce Boxleitner stating his disinterest in voicing future Tron projects among one of them. But I still have this seemingly fruitless hope. Hope that we may see just one more Tron project, something that we can be proud of. I don’t know though. One can hope, right?

Yeah, I noticed that the religious allegory was far more overt in the original film, and I think that's because it was an essential part of the film's world building, and it suited the culture where computers were still an unknown, almost fantastical frontier. But in Tron Legacy, the Father/Son dynamic took center stage, and our perception of technology changed, the religious allegory was toned down considerably (though it's still there and does meld well with the family theme). I absolutely love the Tron franchise, so much so that I wanted to recreate the Grid in Sandbox inspired games like Disney Infinity. I was even fortunate enough to meet Jeff Bridges once, and got him to sign my drawing of Kevin Flynn.

This is a film misplaced in time... Honestly this masterpiece is nothing less than Blade Runner or Ghost in the Shell franchise in the aspect of style, ideology or each character arcs and their respective motive.

Still wish that Reboot And Freakazoid(Dexter Douglas) had the same treatment as Tron Legacy!

You must be pretty shook that they hinted at a third TRON movie TODAY that's in the works for next year.

You should do a video on the Black Hole. If you don't know what it is, it came out before the first Tron as a sort of Star Wars rip-off that actually ended up being kind of fun.

Great video, by the way. I really enjoyed it and I really wish we could see more stories like Tron: Legacy and more worlds like the Grid. I know that there are stories like it in the form of cyberpunk, but they're typically not as family-friendly as Tron is.

I love the history of the Black Hole! A lot of those forgotten Disney movies from the 80s are fascinating to me and I hope to make a series about them someday.
