Thanks, just purchased the mount with the phone and iPad holders. Straight forward install for sure. That cable you looked at is for the dash speaker that you don't have optioned. Thanks again.

I have installed Bulletpoint in my Colorado and this is fantastic. Nobody comes close on how their mounts work and the quality is unbelievable!

I would recommend 67 Designs, who is the original designer and manufacturer of this type of product. They are also made in the USA, unlike the products reviewed here.

I've blown threw so many mounts for my vehicles trying to balance cost against utility. There are some really nice ones specifically tailored to your vehicle, but many of those require some pretty major surgery/modification to incorporate them. Most of them didn't come cheap. Additionally the most sturdy one I had was difficult to get the phone in and out of, especially with just one hand. Then I stumbled on to a mount that was just shy of perfect for my needs. The price tag shocked me! It was a whopping $7.95 from Amazon. No drilling required. the only requirement was finding a flat (non-curved) surface on the dash. It mounted with a super strong adhesive tape (that is removable if needed). The kit uses a heavy duty magnet on the base. It also supplies several pieces of steel in the form or discs or small rectangles with adhesive that I mount to the inside of my phone case. You can stick on the back of your phone if desired. The magnetic force is sufficient to keep it anchored until you pull it off. Even on off-road scenarios. The base has a universal joint type arrangement where you can alter plane of the surface to your liking then clamp it down. i have ordered three total so far for my cars. Works well with wife's heavy ProMax phone and my slim line iPhone 12. Whichever of my cars I drive I an easily attach the phone. Here's a link: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BS4S89H/ Your solution is the better one for your particular need with the multiple devices, but if you're looking for an inexpensive phone-only mount, you can save yourself some coin using the mag mount.

Being a retired military guy, your video was great and I've just ordered one of these for my '21 F350. Oh, tell everyone to mention military and they check via GovX, 15% off. Thanks again.

So that electrical clip under the plastic cover. That is for a speaker. On my F150 and many other F series vehicles, there is a speaker under the tray. You will need a 7 mm socket to remove the tray around the speaker. Or the one provided but it will touch the glass and takes a while.

I appreciate this video more than I can say; you sold me on the mount, helped me install it, and didn't do it in a way that was tiresome or unentertaining. Thank you!

That power cable on there was probably a wireless charger for a cell phone in that tray... I don't own a Ford but I would imagine that's what that's about.

I’ve seen a center front speaker on some of the F150s in that spot, maybe it’s just a place to hold the speaker cable when not used to prevent rattling?

Needs to able to mount with out drilling holes in the dash!!
@LyfeUntethered2 жыл бұрын
It can! Has adhesive. Mounting with screws just makes it stronger. Plus, you'd probably never even notice the holes if you had to pull it off because of the location. If you did, you could just get a new rubber tray and cover them. Invisible. I thought the same thing you did - didn't want to drill into my truck! But now I have no regrets. Makes me happy every time I jump in my truck.

Looks like a great organizational tool which, unfortunately, will not fit my 2016 Platinum with the pop-up storage compartment according to their website. To perhaps confirm your thoughts about powering a USB, my pop-up dash storage compartment has two USB ports plus the slot for the SD card navigation map, as well as RCA inputs to show movies on the SYNC screen.

Good day, good sir. Did you put the power outlet in? Is that what that wire is for? I wanted to know before i run wire to a fuse box in an attempt to set up a charger up there with the mount for my phone. It would be great if could just get a conversion kit or something and do it right there!!
@LyfeUntethered2 жыл бұрын
Haven't done it yet! But that's my guess of what the existing wire is! Just test it with a multimeter and let me know!
@traumegaz2 жыл бұрын
@@LyfeUntethered I thought I would have the same plug as you, but I have a raptor and the plus was not there. I'm going to run a wire to my fuse box and put a USB hub in. Awesome video regardless!!
