Thank you for creating such an unbiased video, explaining to the best of your ability what Burning Man is and what it represents. I am not gonna lie, I didn't realize what I was missing out on, I thought because I'm 46 and not very hip, that maybe I would be out of place or perceived as maybe too square and or boring compared with all these hip youngsters, but now I have a very different perception thanks to this video. Y'all might see me at the next Burning Man, and based on what I'm seeing I'll probably be having an absolute blast. BURNING MAN LOOKS LIKE A PLACE AND AN ENERGY I CAN REALLY APPRECIATE. GOOD JOB EARTH AT LEAST WE'RE DOING ONE THING RIGHT, THIS LOOKS LIKE A GATHERING THAT IS NOT ONLY FUN BUT THE OVERALL THEME OF OPENESS AND UNITY DOESN'T JUST SPEAK TO ME ITS HOW I LIVE HOW I BEHAVE AND ALSO HOW I THINK. where others see differences, I see and feel a deep and powerful sense of oneess, I make every attempt every single day to set an example by treating everyone I interact with, as if their condition and their needs are just as important to me as my own needs are, for truly we are indeed one and when society finally makes some real spiritual progress, eventually everyone will come to understand our inherent unity and also to treat others, as if they where another yourself as the ancient Mayans said as a common greeting "I'm Lachek" Meaning I am another yourself. Many blessings to all who read this, and may all of our days be filled with happiness and copious amounts of positive and healthy self expression. We are making progress, and in my personal opinion events like burning man are essential for bringing these kinds of great ideas and improved social constructs into the mass consciousness of our society and world. Burning Man a party with a purpose !!!

That video image at 0:59 is beautiful but it should be marked 2022: (the Mayan Warrior was lost in fire in April of 2023 . A new version of a different shape was built and debuted at BM 2024. Yippee!!! We love you Mayan Warrior!! )

Someone has already done this I’m sure more than once. I think back in around 2009 or so we had to Mormon elders come by our camp in fully appropriate costumes. One of them supposedly was blind and they were hilarious. Not actual real LDS I think they were some DPW (the staff and volunteers that set up and tear down the city) folks.

"Lee Harvey?" ........ his name was Larry Harvey. And we aren't "suppressed by societal norms." I don't even know what that means.

Thanks for the correction on Larry. I meant you generally don't go walking around naked, partying every night, or dressed up like a pirate. You have to get a job, wear clothing, and mostly party on the weeekends. That's all I meant. Sorry if you found it offensive or unclear.

insane also when considering the ecological footprint with 80'000 participants, most of them arriving by plane, car, with all the burning of wood, gas and other inflammable liquids etc. A unacceptable ecological catastrophe! But perhaps, the participants thinks that we will anyway not survive the climate catastrophe.

I had a few chances to go in the early 90's but never did. Not sad I missed it. I'm just not too excited about being in the middle of a desert with a bunch of people on hard drugs. You never know who can handle their drugs and who can't. I've heard its gotten a lot more dangerous for females over the past decade or so.
@TrevorJonescreatorАй бұрын
I'm not sure how I'd like the big Burning Man. This one was regional, and much smaller. We had zero issues with anyone. People were all respectful. There was drug use for sure, but I didn't see a single person out of control or causing trouble.
