Hey, I just want to give you a quick tip: If you go to the panel in blender on the very right at 16:56 and go to the section "Film" and the tick the box "Transparent", you can export the picture as a png with transparency and don't need to use green screen! Also you should look up some tutorials about shadow catchers! Love your videos and hope you keep making them!

I think my favorite example of altered images has to be the kent state photo where the editors removed a pole so the image was less distracting. Also, to improve your shadow catcher, select the plane and go to the orange tab, or the properties tab. Select visibility and check off shadow catcher. This should render the plane transparent but still render the shadow.

Fascinating. Well done storytelling and presentation. And the depth you go to to demonstrate imitation is outstanding. Thanks for putting these together.

At this point I think most of the people are aware of the use of photoshop on social media, but this is next level, you are creating a fake narrative that could make a hole country panic, but I must say is pretty cool. Great video!!
@-grey2 жыл бұрын
It seems that the problem isn't computer generated fakery, it's artistic institutions which scrutinse the validity of small creators and let large ones coast by on their name alone to sell the intentionality of their work. He didn't bullshit anyone as much as the art critique industry bullshitted everyone for him, by letting him get away with nonsense in place of meaning because it's good publicity to be associated with the branding power of his name.

Very interesting. You have good content. Most 3d apps let you export masks [occlusion] layers and with your guy and shadow as seperate layers, you can really dial in light transparency.

@@digeratadesign There are fake news, and alternative reality. Film makers do the latter all the time, mostly without intent to deceive. This is a whole new level, within hours of Trump boasting of this sexual misdeeds those fake news sites could have had dozens of distraught women with their sad tales. Or, what if Britain had decided not to settle in North America, they'd left it to the French?

Thank you for sharing, and great attempt to replicate the technique. Jonas for me was indeed clever but that proves to show that even great institutions, become lax in their ability to properly filter photo entrees, especially when they are someone who are known or tagged by the same institutions as credible. They must and should never always put their guards down when evaluating these photos. It only shows, they have became sloppy with their credibility in careful evaluation over the years, that these institutions have been well known for. Sad to say.

Great video. I am surprised that I have never heard about this until I saw your video. Picture is good, however shadow gives it away however. Just need to ruff it up a bit and probably would not have even noticed.

Why the virtual green screen though? Isn't Blender capable of exporting a PNG with transparency?

Only accept film photography with a physical negatives. Yeah a person can manipulate the image by dodging and burning in the darkroom but that is about it. There problem solved.

The industry is not going back to film, that's ridiculous. It's hard enough to even buy new film stock these days even if you wanted to
@williamboyd1816 Жыл бұрын
Expensive but not hard, I can get all the film I can shoot and I live in the middle of nowhere. This is a common excuse. The fact is digital is just more convenient for photojournalist, however these news agency should at least require them to send in the RAW file of each shot along with any TIFF or JPEG submission as proof of the pre-production shot.

First of Veles is not god, he is the ancestor spirit nor is Perun god nor Jarilo and so on they are personification of nature Perun is thunder, Jarilo sun,..etc I don't know about validity of scripture but that is our mythology and old religion which customs and holidays are preserved in Serbian orthodox church. Everything is just Christianised, Saint Sava is now what Veles used to be. Spirit protector of the house is Saint protector of the house and so on.... You can't just shi* on our tradition like that.
