Hey man love your videos and haven't missed a single one. I had a question about calculating sGPA. I have consistently been taking 4 courses per semester in University so far. I am currently in my 5th year taking 4 courses again. Do you know how calculation for sGPA would be for my situation since its not the conventional 5 courses per semester? I would have 4 classes this for this fall semester and then it would be 8 classes in my 4th year and 8 classes in my third year.

Hi Armaan! Thanks for following along my journey - it's much appreciated. In your case, it would be exactly the same as the example in my GPA video. Between 5th and 4th year, those grades will all be calculated individually. When factoring in 3rd year marks, they will take the average of the entire year to fill in those remaining courses required for the calculation. From U of T and Western's website on calculating GPA: "Where grades must be extracted from a term to achieve the equivalent of 10 full courses, the average of that year will be used." Hope that helps!

Hello again :) I am currently trying to decide wether to take a Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics or a Honours Bachelor in Human Kinetics (emphasis on social science), they both have the pre requisites for a Masters in PT but i am uncertain as to which I should take, any advice? Which did you take when you went to Western ? I have seen that they dont have a preference in degree’s but should I be trying to immerse myself into harder courses earlier in preparation for the masters?

Hi Andrew! My advice is to go into the one that you're going to enjoy the most. The type of degree that you have does not matter when it comes to getting an offer of admission to PT school. Undergrad will test your limits, no matter what degree you choose. That being said, both will prepare you well enough for the rigours of PT school. I did a BA in Kin at Western. Did not take many "hard science" courses outside of intro bio, human phys, anatomy, exercise phys, and biomechanics. I felt well-equipped to take on PT school. So again: Do what you'll enjoy the most. Hope that helps.

Hi! Depends on the school you apply to, but you probably want to take courses related to PT such as the biological and physical sciences, psychology, biomechanics, anatomy, and physiology.

Is SportsPhysiotherapy in Canada good and are there good job opportunities after Masters in sports Physiotherapy in Canada.
@TheCanadianPhysioStudent4 жыл бұрын
Yes, of course! All physiotherapy in Canada is good. The unemployment rate is approx 0.3% (i.e., non-existent). However, there is no "Master of Sports Physiotherapy." In Canada, you first have to get your Master of Physiotherapy first and then after you graduate you can do a diploma in Sport Physiotherapy. Once you obtain that, you're a Sport Physiotherapist. Hope that helps.
