Love the AEC wheeled escape I drove those when I was a firefighter in Belfast in the 70's and 80'.

The old fire engines seem to have a soul and purpose like with the two tones bleating away like they are alive sound crackers but they have something about them that the new fire engines seem to have lost

The Shelvoke and Drewry pumps have got to be the ugliest appliances ever made should have stuck to bin lorries. The Dennis Sabre XL has got to be one of the best fast, comfortable with excellent handling. Scania's now rule Europe with Mercs, Volvos, Dafs and Mans following behind.
