The pike in Guts and Blackpowder is not a Spontoon. I mentioned the Spontoon in the historical inaccuracies page because it is technically a "half-pike," and it was regularly used by British Sergeants. However, a real pike would be longer. The model in-game is really a lance that gets renames to pike when infantry are holding it.

One notable advantage nobody seems to have mentioned is that when an Officer uses his charge there's an awkward 2 second period of equipping the Musket and fixing the bayonet and by then 1/3 of the charge's time is gone. With the pike you probably already have it equipped when the charge happens + it has a faster draw time then the musket which allows it to get more value out of the charge.

i used to think it was mid but I used it for an endless match and got 938 kills with 4 deaths by wave 36, its absolutely amazing defensively and particularly in endless where its high damage becomes a huge positive

Personally, I’d consider the Bugler as the first subclass, since the Bugle significantly changes the way you play Musician compared to the Drums and Fife, which meets the decision of a sub class

feel like there is technically a subclass for Sapper after his shove ability was released, and kind of wish that the devs would make a weapon that just does enough damage to kill a objective sapper after stunning it, and is the only weapon to stun all zombie types cause why not?

Jmt you need to read this the official guts and blackpowder channel which the name of it is just Guts & Blackpowder released a vid of revamping the ENTIRE menu, class choosing, Hell even leaderboard is being changed. There is so much being changed that will VERY much appeal pc players but will be a whole new fresh start with the menu you gotta check that vid out and watch it cause i just got hyped by it. another thing it says is that they show their list of what to do and well this might mean the update is so so so close.

No, because it is just a reskin. It has the same exact function as the fife. Meanwhile, the pike isn't just a bayonet reskin, but rather a different weapon with different stats.

The idea for new zombies: a zombie officer - if there are ordinary zombies around him, then... hmm... Damn, what video had that idea in it? I'm just curious and I'm trying to find :(

Although still catch the fan idea: the zombie commander-he will wear a flag depending on the map (and he will look like that zombie officer), when he holds the flag, the zombies who were nearby will get + 25% speed, and when he finds a certain place, he will put the flag in place, and near zombies will come out of the flag until the players destroy the flag or the commander who was holding it in his hand (there should also have been an additional buff for the zombies who got out near the flag, but I'm too lazy)

You CAN kill zombies behind barricades using a bayonet just only when you use it upwards aka that annoying swipe aim melee thing that is only controllable on where your camera moves and mobile players choose how you aim melee weapons by button

I have a suggestion. You could add the kalthoff reapeter to g&b and my idea of nerfing the gun would be that it would have a chance of jamming when you shoot and the damage should be lower that the carbine and less accurate and it would be the only gun in g&b to be not able to do significant damage to armoured zombie (assuming its in development) like the hand axe to the zapper and another drawback to the gun is that the reloading time of the gun is just a little lower than the loading time of the nock gun like 27,26 seconds or longer and would cost atleast 3k francs. Basically its a really weak nock gun that can fire semi auto with 5 musket balls another drawback suggestion is that it has a low chance of damaging you when you shoot and even with all the drawbacks another option to avoid one sided battles againts zombies is to limit how many player can use the kalthoff repeater or make it another sub class that you could either buy or grind really hard to get the class would be the kalthoff clan and if still is quite overpowered for the gist of the game then the harmonica gun with all the drawbacks listed above

Not gonna lie. Out of all weapons for line. Musket is a trade of all choices, jack of all trades. You have bayonet you can use with officer ability. you have a gun that can sometimes kills zapper in the head. not talking about bobmbers. carbine if you wanna take assasin role on a new level. as (beta or breadin) told. line is also a main combat unit. but also can be used as an assasin. to snipe high value targets. and with faster realod and much faster speed during it. it exhance it even further. Pike or speak honestly kinda sucked when i tried. but then i realized they supporsed to be used when you need to fight off horde. not go into it. that's why you still have your sabre/axe Exp: catacombs final defend. or during hayblade sector on san sebastian. Talking about seaman two main weapon. Is nock gun and blunderbuss blunder buss enhance crowd control. and cqc combat without using melees. nock gun provide MASSIVE damage output. you don't even need it all tbh. you can wipe a horde in straight line or snipe some igniters or bombers if it comes to this. Can't talk about pipe. drum or bulge. since they all very useful at anything. althought drummer slighty more useful
