The idea of the city being saved by running out of oil/coal the literal moment that the generator was about to go critical from too much overdrive is genuinely hilarious, I hope that is indeed what happened
@robloxplayer0003Ай бұрын
Unfortunately, overdrive reaching 100% in frostpunk 2 just kills a bunch of people and drops trust. It won't end the city, as funny as that would be.
@lentlemenproductions770Ай бұрын
I imagine the last drop of oil being pushed through the system by fumes and igniting, and it’s just enough to finally crack or melt the red-hot generator casing, and the workers shield themselves in terror as nothing but a puff of smoke comes out and the endless rumbling begins to wind down.

Pravus: "The generator has always been our single point of failure you morons!" I think that was the point they were trying to make, Pravus.

@@projectpitchfork860 What's better than one generator? Multiple generators. Ergo, adaptation is the superior choice.

Before going to Winterhome, maybe check the exploration map again and see if there's anything you can resolve; while you sorted out the mushrooms for the hotsprings, I'm not sure you ever did the second half, and it couldn't hurt to see if there are other linked events you planned on "getting back to later" just in case.
@niliousАй бұрын
You need to rebuild the Station you tore down on the High Pass to be able to Interact with Hot Springs. (the exclamation marked spot with the settlement edge around it in the frostland) It's One of the old Settlements you could trade with during the "Over the Edge" Scenario in Frostpunk 1.

The fact it doesnt really show that the pilgrims want a hybrid generator that can uss any fuel source unless you go down their route is so weird, it makes it harder to work with the factions. I mean pravus is already kinda going the pilgrim route with the multiple colonies but hes locked out of the hybrid generator now right?
@badgoat6926Ай бұрын
So the other upgrade more or less makes it so that you can set up settlements not colonies and they are just better resources depos

What i have found through my own playthroughs is that neither adaptation nor progress is the best. Adaptation has a lot of good options for frostland exploration and reducing sqaulor/disease, but progress is definitely better for gathering most resources, except for the industrial upgrades that consume oil to make materials or goods. Also, the hardest thing about captain difficulty is money, everything else really isnt too hard

Almost like a mix of adapting and using technological progress is the best way forward.

The areas around outpost 11 are the areas where you traded and helped in frostpunk 1. Depending on your choice in the scenario and your ending. It implies that you either let new london die and came back to retake it or you saved it and when you returned they made you the new leader.

@TheHorzaboraАй бұрын
I’ve gotta say, the Frostlander ‘spread out settlements relying on one another’ seems like a much more interesting play style. Or maybe I’m just missing what makes the Steward style so cool. I was expecting a much bigger, sprawling megalopolis with obvious buildings, railroads, automata and flying airships, as is pictured in the art. But… that doesn’t seem to be needed? Or perhaps it’s also that - at least on KZbin, the buildings and hubs don’t seem to stand out like in the first game. That does seem to be a notable negative, the city feels less alive once you get used to the ‘view from high above’ style and neat flowing rivers of light for roads. I’d like to see mobile airships and railroads that are animated.
