Absolutely, there are a lot of weirdos out there. When I was a baby, my mom was careful to not put up curtains or anything that would say it was a baby, or child's room. And always told me it was not smart to have your child's name on them for strangers to see and or on your car, as a adult.

the pine barrens are my back yard! When we first moved here i knew nothing of the history of the pines. My friend and i were drinking a 12 pack at 1 am ish about 150 yards into the woods by a cranberry pond. we were chatting and laughing until we heard something that sounded like it was a mile away. the best way i can describe it was it sounded like if a tank had legs and started running at you. we both looked at each other and went "i know im not the only one hearing this" within ten seconds it sounded like it was right beyond the tree line on the other side of the pond. ive never ran so hard in my life. We both started bolting, no headlamps or phone flashes. Dodging trees in pitch black ! Left the beer out there and everything. That was the most overtly scary thing i've witnessed. The other odd phenomena is what i consider to be "phantom music" it sounds like someone is playing a nice upbeat song from a blue tooth speaker on summer nights. sometimes every night for a week. The odd thing is, You would hear people rummaging around back, Whether it be footsteps on the dried up pines or a 4 wheeler. But its completely dead silent outside . It sounds like the music is coming from the right side. Then within a second it completely flips to the polar opposite direction. No footsteps or anything... At one point i was standing on the tree line at night, The sound oscillated so quickly to the other side my neck snapped! Then it got close as if the music was being played a couple feet in front of me. I've noped out of my backyard many times thinking that someone is stalking me. But the weird sound dilation is something i've never experienced anywhere else.

I rode through the Pine Barrens years ago, I am from Ohio and I had no clue of where we were, halfway through the ride I felt like something was wrong, I started to panic and didn't feel right until we were well out of the forest...scary for sure. Who knew Sammie could sing, and Finn loved having her mom sing to her. Sammie we understand that you need to have private times and love every moment that you so share with us. Turner, that was so weird that you saw someone and then there was no one when you got there... Years ago we were ridding around on some trails at Natchez Trace State Forest in TN, we saw a woman in a blue dress standing on a bridge, when we got around the curve up to where we had seen her and there was no one there, and there was no bridge. I thought of this because you said there was an old boy scout camp around there and the trail we were on was Scout trail and it goes to an old boy scout camp. The tracks you were seeing were deer tracks.

It was so beautiful when you came towards that lake with the waterfall. Nature at its best. I just can't believe how big Finley is now. And beautiful as ever. I am within walking distance of some of the places you mentioned. My grandfather, though, rather wealthy, lived in the pines. He did not get plumbing until 1954. Until then he had an outhouse and a hand pump in the kitchen sink that sometimes needed to be primed.

Yeah the pine barrens have an eerie vibe to them. It's a highly fascinating bit of nature, stuck in a spot where you wouldn't think there'd be any nature at all. But it's got such a unique ecosystem, and history and stories that all add to the beauty and mystique of the pine barrens. I'm from south Jersey (Salem county) and a lot of people can't believe how beautiful it is, because everyone thinks all of new Jersey is like north Jersey. But I've got farmland, marshes, lakes, woods, the ocean, creeks, and incredible nature all around me. I'm very lucky to have grown up in such an amazing spot.

I love you guys ❤️ I am from North Jersey but live in the Poconos now. If you have an Aldi they have good unsweetened almond milk. They have an almond milk peppermint mocha creamer which is AMAZING. There is not much open in the Poconos compared to summer of course. There is a bakery which sells a hit dog and a slice of pie for around $5. If they have maple bacon donuts made you are in luck! TomX pub has a lot of good food. We were partial to the fish and chips before the shut down. If you have not been to Great Wolf Lodge the decorations were pretty if they let you walk through.There is a new fish and chips/southern food place near a Dunkin, a fried chicken lady at the flea market if she is still there with chicken to die for and her daughter makes amazing cake... If you still need the info let me know I will dig it up for you. 🙂 Oh and I am sure Bethlehem is decked out for Christmas.

I dont remember exactly how we got there it's been a long time ago. But we had a blast out there every weekend camping. Everyone took care of the cabin. This video brought back great memories!! I still cant believe people have access to these woods, abandoned houses etc in other states. Im from Ca and everything, I mean everything is chained off, completely off limits to the public, even accidental trespassing on someones property you'll likely get the cops called on you or something worse. even small empty lots next to liquor stores are closed off.
