I was fortunate to buy all of my Boswells before most pipe smokers were aware of the brand. Some of the best smoking pipes for anywhere near the money. It's amazing that the prices are so reasonable. The locally made pipe cabinet I got through JM is absolutely gorgeous with fiddleback grain on all parts.

You are right WAYNE, Boswell does make some great PIPES in fact, when I started collecting in 2017, I was wanting one of those cabinets, but they stopped working with the Amish man that made them. I was told his prices were getting too high for JM to try to sell them, and evidently they have not been able to find anybody else to make the nicer quality cabinets.

Sir I enjoyed watching you and your pipe collection. First I saw time your channel and was impressed with your comment about the Lord being in charge and what you said about the church helping you financially. So do you pastor a church? By the way, I also subscribed to your channel. Have a good evening.

I have a question, all your pipes have the black protective cover to prevent the teeth chatter, how long can you keep this on a pipe, before you have to remove for cleaning. Great video. I found you while surfing you tube. I also subscribed right away. Thank you again. Bob, here in Maryland.
@Basspiper7 ай бұрын
BOB, they are called softy bits. They come in different sizes and you can order them online I believe it’s softybit.com. I believe they come in three sizes I bought all three because of different size stems and fishtail ends on some of the acrylic pipe stems. changing them over it would just be a matter of, when you want to do it and how often you smoke your pipe. All of mine have never been changed as of yet, simply because I don’t smoke a lot. I may have three or four bowls, a month and/or about that many cigars a month. They are nice because they protect your stems tremendously. If you have to remove the softy bits, you basically have to cut them off to put them on you basically have to wet the tip of your stem and wet the softy bit so you can get those things on there pretty tight going on.

Great video, you have some awesome pipes! I didnt know Boswell made 9mm filtered pipes, thats good to know since i can only smoke filtered pipes. I hope to make it to one of the Boswells locations, and buy a pipe one of these days.
@Basspiper7 ай бұрын
Nathan, thanks for watching BUDDY. You will have to call BOSWELLS and ask JM to make you a 9 mm he used to make 9 mm years ago but stopped so he only does them by request if he’s got time Boswell makes a good pipe.

The problem is people will just add all the pipes to their cart and make them unavailable to everyone else. Once they have them in their cart they can just look at them all and pick what they want and then just remove the ones they don’t want.

Yeah, that was a Christmas present. Perdomo makes good cigars. I got a hold of the new 30th anniversary and looking forward to trying that one out. Have always wanted to visit the Netherlands.
@35acacia7 ай бұрын
6:31 Your Lucky that you can try the 30th anniversary already. In the Netherlands you can't get them yet. So I started smoking pipes also. I just bought the Savinelli Bing's favorite for Christmas a wonderful pipe. I have now 4 Savinelli and 1 Persons pipe. I love them although the pipe tobacco in the Netherlands is limited to the non flavouring tobacco, for that I need to go to Germany. The Netherlands is a nice country, if possible you should try to visit it one day. Have a nice day Sir.

I’m new to pipe smoking and I don’t use filters. That being said is a 9 or 6mm better and why or does it matter since I use no filter? Thank you love your content
@Basspiper5 ай бұрын
AARON, thanks for watching BUDDY. I have a video that I talk about filters but I’m gonna try to answer this for you. Depending on who you talk to, some people do not like filters where others do , here are two reasons why a lot of men or women use filters For pipes smoking. One is called tongue bite, this is when the tobacco usually with VIRGINIA tobacco because of their high sugar content, burns your tongue at the tip of it. I don’t mean a real burn, but it’s like a tingle kinda like dealing with a hot Texas Pete sauce or something like that, it helps with toning down the smoke , cooling it off. The other is for more of a health reason in that, when you use a filter, it takes away about 70 to 75% of the nicotine and tars that will get into your mouth so another words, healthier smoke going in healthier smoke going out for secondhand smoke when you stop to think about it. The tongue bite issue usually comes from puffing too fast and not pacing yourself with a pipe. Pipe smoking takes some patience to get used to, it is normal for your pipe to go out several times while smoking a pipe full of tobacco, you have to learn to get a cadence down and as you smoke your pipe if you are new, you will understand what I’m talking about with tongue bite. A lot of times it’ll happen as you’re getting ready to light your pipe or lighting up your pipe doing your char light, and then your true light, you’ll feel a tingle on your tongue or at the tip of your tongue that type of thing. Some people have sensitive, tongues and mouths but I smoke both ways with filter and without filter. Your 9 mm charcoal filter is your best filters they do make charcoal filter in 6 mm as well, Savinelli makes both,so anything charcoal is the best and safest way to smoke your pipe. Charcoal is used in biochemical masks for the military, so it is a great filter for nicotine and tar. Some people will say as long as you’re not inhaling the smoke you don’t need a filter but I disagree with that to a point because if you’re the type that’s concerned about your health even though you are not inhaling firsthand the smoke, you’re still getting smoke in your mouth and around your gums and tongue and inside your cheeks so if you’re looking for the healthiest way to smoke anything it is a pipe with a charcoal filter. Hope this helps buddy. For the most part, AARON, as long as you’re not inhaling your pipe smoke firsthand or if you try cigars and you smoke in moderation, you should be fine. Hope this helps you.
