This was the version that appeared on the Pipkins LP (I compared the LP times). Many youtube videos that claiming to be the Pipkins is the White Plains version sung by Rick Wolff. This version featured Tony Burrows talking in the beginning & end with Roger Greenaway doing the lead vocals. That's how you know it's Pipkins; there's no talking on the White Plains version.

Yes....The White Plains version features Ricky Wolff's lead vocals. Ricky Wolff is exactly the lead singer on White Plains big hit My Baby Loves Lovin'. Here's the White Plains version kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4LVZ2hmbK-ofpI

@@boojaboo7507 The confusing thing is there are TWO White Plains versions of SHG. Burrows sang lead on the 1st LP & Wolff sang lead on the 2nd LP, which you linked above.

@@musicexpert2 I never heard the Burrows version. Did you?

@@musicexpert2I have updated information about the TWO White Plains versions of Sunny Honey Girl. See if it's helpful for you. Ricky Wolff sang this song on the 1st LP of White Plains. That's the link I posted above kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4LVZ2hmbK-ofpI Another White Plains version was released as a single on the B-side with Pete Nelson on lead vocals. I have listened to it and it's certainly Pete Nelson's voice for sure. Tony Burrows didn't sing on any version of this song under the name of White Plains. He only did the Pipkins version with a gravelly talking voice and Roger Greenaway being the high-pitched singing voice.

And it is without a doubt the best version of the song performed - after my opinion - even with this high pitch voice.

This version features Roger Greenaway's high-pitched lead vocals and Tony Burrows's croaky talking voice.

The Pipkins did another recording of this song with their normal voices, as you said. I listened to it and it sounds like standard sunshine pop.

I wish they had put both versions on the CD as I dig on both.

@@tomthumb0 And the Pipkins' other recording sounds very similar to a version by White Plains.

@@chrismulwee4911 Thanks. I'll have to do a comparison between the two. I had forgotten about the White Plains version.
