Listening to her interviews since, you can tell she has a biting condescending kind of humor but she is not mean and she definitely was mean during her season. My theory is that she (accurately) thought her sense of humor would come off bitchy in her interviews anyway so she figured she might as well lean into the villain edit since that generally guarantees a high placement and so she went full-on. However it didn't work out well when she went home early and she got stuck with a shitty edit she made too easy. I LOVE her aesthetics and I was shocked she went home that early. Wonder if she'd do it differently now.

Just a reminder to everyone, yes I'm upset about Rock M. Sakura being eliminated as well, she was one of my early favorites, but DO NOT send hate or threats to Brita and Aiden. Remember, Ru and her producers do the judging, they gaslight us with the storylines they want us to see, it is not the queens fault. The queens are just doing the best they can. If you do not like a queens aesthetic or attitude that is your right, but no one should be receiving hate and death threats over a reality show. Respect the contestants!

i think the reality of this season is that so many queens are extremely talented and are really serving, and due to that there’s going to be deserving queens left out of the top pretty much every week. Jan’s and Crystal’s looks were fantastic, but so were Gigi, Jaida’s, and Nicky’s. Jan was deserving but i don’t think you can say the other queens were undeserving. I think as drag race fans we’re so used to the tops and bottoms being really really obvious but this season it’s pretty clear that the judges are being forced to nitpick more than usual

Gigi is so overrated to me. To be fair, I think it is completely unintentional since the filming date for s12 and the dates when s11 was aired is around the same time, so there's no way that nicky could've got the idea from yvie's runway. Yeah it looks the same. But let's not discredit nicky for that runway just because we have already seen it from the previous season, which at that time, she knows nothing about.

In a design challenge, the queens are going to be as strategic as possible, often working directly from a pre-existing bodice structure or from patterns that they have brought into workplace. If you are working with a bodice structure and looking to create length with unconventional materials, you are often considering the idea of having fringes or strands of fabric dangling from the bodice. If, in the work room, you are given similar types of materials in a similar colour palate to work with as previous contestants, there will be overlaps.
