Floor: 10-7 Ceiling 13-4 I don’t see how we could do worse this season with a team that is undeniably more talented this year than it was last year on both sides of the ball. We’ve made some MASSIVE much-needed improvements to our O line. JPJ is coming off a very impressive rookie season, Alex Highsmith gets better and better every year. I’m feeling good about this season.

@@First10Productions him and sean were never a fit and i get he’s on the wrong side of 30 but you know how many teams would kill for 26 TDs and 8 INTs in a season from a 35 year old? justin would still be with the bears if they didn’t have the number one pick from carolina. so yeah like that’s above average, i didn’t say good or elite, nothing like that, but both are an upgrade to what they had, which would make them a slightly better team

@@First10Productions: You need to review Russ’s history. He plays his best football against his toughest opponents, and he was even that way in Denver during BOTH seasons. If anything, playing in a tough division with tough QBs and defense is more likely to pull the best out of Russ, which is still ELITE-LEVEL QB play. The problem with a lot of you younger people is that you have a rapid-change mentality. You treat everything like software, including people. NFL QBs aren’t software. Russ can outperform every other QB in this division, and you shouldn’t be surprised if he’s in MVP conversations again.

What makes people think Russ could suck? He won’t, and there’s no evidence suggesting that he could, given what he did with a coach sabotaging him last season. Idk why people don’t seem to get the concept that Nathaniel Hackett’s and George Paton’s poor running of the Broncos led to Russ’s bad season. RUSS HAD ONE BAD SEASON, AND IT WAS DUE TO A PERFECT STORM CONSISTING OF A LOT OF FACTORS! And even during that bad season there were plenty of bright spots, especially given that Russ played his best football against the Broncos’ toughest opponents, nearly knocked off the Chiefs twice while outperforming Mahomes h2h, and was top-7 in deep passing. Russ’s bad season was as good as or better than Fields’s best season!

I with you on the flashes that Russ still has something left for sure. I was a huge believer when he went to Denver but there is no denying they under performed as a team when he was there. So I really just want to see it happens in Pittsburgh before I say he’s going to a good piece for them is all

@@First10Productionshow was it Russ’s fault that the team underperformed in Denver? More Sean Payton than anything because he really didn’t want Russ as his QB. Overall Russ did a good job under Sean considering.
@DeCurtaRican
@DeCurtaRican 3 ай бұрын
@@First10Productions: This is a fair comment. What many people don’t seem to get about Payton was that he tried to tank. He only stopped when he realized that the NFL executive offices were watching him. That’s why the Broncos beat their toughest opponents in the middle of the schedule. He took the handcuffs off Russ to avoid detection and then tried to explain away his poor deployment of Russ’s skills (especially his deep-throwing ability) by lying and saying Russ couldn’t digest his offense. That was total bs. The Broncos wanted to tank but keep Russ around for another season at least. Russ saw through it, which is why he refused to defer his injury guarantee when they threatened to bench him if he wouldn’t do it. Russ knew refusing to defer the o jury guarantee would be his ticket out of Denver, so his agent contacted the union, and they admonished the Broncos that it was illegal to bench a player for non-football reasons. The Broncos wanted to keep Russ for another year, but Russ didn’t want to stay. Thats why he refused. Now, during the meat if the schedule, the NFL executive offices were up their Broncos’ skirt, so ownership likely told Payton he would have to coach Russ and try to win some games. But in tight spots, Payton still saw opportunities to lose. The sideline blowup was about Russ trying to score despite the Refs making a horrible call on an obvious TD. Russ called out Payton for not challenging. That caused Payton to blow up on the sideline. He lost the Lions game purposely and then threw the Patriots game when Russ was fully capable of winning it. Then? He benched Russ once the coast was clear for him to offer another excuse for the benching, which was, “We just want to try something new for a spark.” No. The real reason was an attempt to lose the last two games and move up the draft chart. He knew it would be easier to lose with Stidham. To believe that Russ couldn’t digest Payton’s offense, you would have to believe that Russ couldn’t digest an offense that Jameis Winston, Teddy Bridgewater, and Taysom Hill could. Furthermore, these narratives about Russ not being able to play on schedule or throw over the middle are false. I’ve watched Russ his whole career. There isn’t a throw Russ can’t make, and he makes throws other QBs cannot. If not for his lack of batting prowess, he would’ve been another Ichiro in the major leagues. He was that accurate as a thrower on the diamond, and he’s that accurate on the football field. The fix was in in Denver. The people who understand that are exhorted about Russ in Pittsburgh. He gets to be the QB everyone thought they’d see in Denver. Pittsburgh will lean on Russ more than people think, just like the Seahawks did early in Russ’s career. He was certainly the driving force between his Y3 and Y10.

@@First10Productions : No way man, and not only is Miles Garret neither the best defender nor better than Watt, he’s a bit of a head-case! He deserves no fandom after what he did to Mason Rudolph (hitting him on the head with a helmet) a few years ago! He could’ve paralyzed the guy. I thought he deserved a 2-3 year ban for that assault. And then he tried to cover his a$$ by lying on Rudolph, saying he called him the N-word, because he knew he had committed a serious offense. He should’ve gotten a serious ban. The NFL was too lenient. Rudolph should have fallen to the ground and feigned disorientation. That would’ve done the trick. He stayed on his feet and kept arguing, but that was very dangerous. It could’ve caused all kinds of serious physical injuries.
