The Pixel Labs

So going back to an Arcade Tour, we actually go to a new arcade that's located in Jersey City. It is called Pixel Labs.
Located on 1st Street, this small area has a good collection of classic arcade and console games. But not only that, but there are a handful of artistic cabinets and arcade games in general. I never realized that till I spoke with the owner, but I was impressed that there are artists to make artistic games. It was definitely quite a different arcade experience.
While this place has some good potential, there are two simple drawbacks. The first is that while this is a good place to play games, it has a limited space. It is basically a small room with a handful of arcade, console, and artistic games. I do believe that this place could be a bigger and there would be some expansion of the facility, add some more classic arcades, and maybe get some pinball machines to the mix as that's another key factor for an arcade.
The second is it's location. See, since this place is located in Jersey City, there is another arcade located in the same city known as Barcade. I've been in the arcade a couple of times and did a few updated tours along the way. The biggest problem, to me, is that both Pixel Labs and Barcade are eight to ten minutes between each other in walking distance. Really makes this feels like a competition between the two locations and I feel the later would dominate due to it's longevity (Still soured over the Barcade in Newark closing two to three years ago).
Despite this gripes, this area would have some potential in greatness. Maybe moved it over to Union City, where I live and have an expansion with more arcades and pinball machines. That would be something worth seeing since we never have an arcade in my hometown. But that would be a long and trying road, but fingers crossed I guess.
