Perhaps the picture may be saying like in Psalms 32:1 "Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered." -- sin is covered? What do you think?

The problem is when trying to translate that into the Christian experience, it gets confusing. When our sins out covered, the question is covered with what. The answer: the blood of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:18,19 But what does that blood do when we’re covered by it? Answer: 1 John 1:7 It cleanses or washes away the sin. It’s not still there but just under a cloak. Make sense?

The term cleanses is synonymous to washing. But what does the rest of the verse say? From ALL our sins. There’s nothing remaining. It’s gone. Not merely cloaked or covered. We are living in a time where the word of God needs to be proclaimed plainly. Habakkuk 2:2 The image does not depict what Christ is “actually” doing. We may mean well, but there is a such thing as being sincerely wrong. This picture is a fitting image of the term. God bless you

And you become a new spiritual creation in Jesus with a nee holy and pure nature in Jesus and are thus dead for sin and able to restist all temptations. Ellen White's thinking and attitude about original sin is quite different from Catholic. Here are some quotes: "In the condition of the world today we see the terrible result of living for self. When man ceases to exert a heavenly influence, he still exerts an influence, but it is an influence for evil. If his influence is not hallowed by the sanctifying power of the truth, he is a worker of evil. His selfishness is an injury to him and to others. Every seed of evil which is sown reproduces the evil of the ORIGINAL SIN, increasing the curse brought upon the world by disobedience." {16LtMs, Ms,97, 1901 par.24} "To a large degree Satan has succeeded in the execution of his plans. Through the medium of influence, taking advantage of the action of mind on mind, he prevailed on Adam to sin. Thus at its very source human nature was corrupted. And ever since then sin has continued its hateful work, reaching from mind to mind. Every sin committed awakens the echoes of the ORIGINAL SIN." {RH, April 16. 1901, par.5} And yes, we can overcome every sin completely by the power of Christ. God and man work together. Hi Dwayne, I like your enthusiasm and your determination to be a biblical teacher; but your interpretation of Romans 5:12 is flawed. you do violence to the scripture when you give it your own twist. your teaching of salvation is flawed as a result. Original sin is a fact of life. Original sin is the effect which the sin of Adam has upon us as a pre-condition of our lives. we are sinners by birth and by choice. We all have sinned and come short of the glory of God Rom 3:23. Because of Adam sin, we all have a depraved or corrupted nature which so inclines us toward sin (disobedience). Sin is a state of lawlessness, and not committing sins only! just by having a corrupt sinful nature we are sinners without even violating the law of God. we violate the law because we are stinking sinners. can we over come sin, yes in behaviour but not in thought. Jesus said if you hated, you are a murderer. if you lusted you have committed adultery. We need God's grace, He saves by grace because we are sinners. I am looking forward to a new body and especially a new mind when I am resurrected and changed to perfection while caught up to meet the Lord in the air. All our righteousness is like filthy rags Isa 64:2. I can't offer the Lord perfect obedience, that's why he gives his perfect obedience as a gift. thank you Jesus you are my Lord and Saviour. Please teach Jesus as our Saviour, otherwise you will continue to mislead people. The world needs to know about salvation from Christ, but not from teachers like you. Wake up and speak truth.

Hello, I will respond to your comments point by point: YOU SAID: “we are sinners by BIRTH and by choice. We all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” Rom 3:23. YOU ALSO SAID: “Sin is a STATE of lawlessness, and not committing sins only!” The Bible does not teach that we are sinners at birth. There is no such evidence in scripture. It teaches we are sinners when we “commit” sin. (1 John 3:4) The word “commit” in the Greek is an ACT not merely a STATE of being. So you are incorrect in your assertion on this point. YOU SAID: “just by HAVING A CORRUPT SINFUL NATURE WE ARE SINNERS without even violating the law of God.” It is impossible to be a sinner without violating the law of God for the Bible says: “without the law, there is no transgression” Romans 4:15 Read Romans 5:13 as well. Secondly, if having a sinful nature means being a sinner, then how do you explain Romans 1:3 speaking about our Savior. It says: “Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David ACCORDING TO THE FLESH;” The word “flesh” in the Greek “Sarx” means: “human nature (with its frailties (physically or morally) and passions)” So this means Jesus had the SAME NATURE David had. So if you believe we are SINNERS simply because of having a fallen nature, you just blasphemed the Lord Jesus Christ and declared Him a sinner. The good news is, sinful nature DOES NOT EQUAL SINNER! The Bible teaches while we have Adam’s nature (Genesis 5:3), when born again (John 3:3), we also receive the divine nature (2 Peter 1:4), and are empowered to ESCAPE the corruption in the world through lust. Jesus was born in this world as mentioned with the same nature as David (a sinful one) YET, He was also born with the Holy Ghost (Divine Nature) {Luke 1:38}. Jesus was born in this world as we are born again. Two natures. Sinful and Divine. If Jesus can be tempted in all points like us and not sin, we can have this SAME EXPERIENCE by His grace. THIS is the REAL GOSPEL SIR. YOU SAID: “can we over come sin, yes in behaviour BUT NOT IN THOUGHT.” The Bible Says: We can have PURE THOUGHTS (Philippians 4:8) That handles the list issue We can LOVE OUR ENEMIES (Matthew 5:44) That handles the hate issue Bottom line? God commands and enables us to “be transformed by the RENEWING OF OUR MIND” (Romans 12:2) Victorious thinking and not merely behavior is possible. Praise God! YOU SAID: “I CAN’T OFFER THE LORD PERFECT OBEDIENCE, that's why he gives his perfect obedience as a gift.” The Bible says we can: “Be perfect as our Father in heaven is perfect” (Matthew 5:48) “Perfect holiness in the fear of God” (2 Corinthians 7:1) “Be holy because God is Holy” (1 Peter 1:16) HOW one may ask? Galatians 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I LIVE; yet not I, but CHRIST LIVETH IN ME: and the life which I now live in the flesh I LIVE BY SON OF GOD, who loved me, and gave himself for me” I agree He gives His perfect obedience as a gift to us as well, TO BE LIVED OUT IN OUR LIVES. Hi Dwayne, I understand now that you hold extremist’s perfectionist views of salvation from Weimar, Dennis Prebie and LTG Last Generation Theology, who advocate Christ had a sinful human nature. He did not. You need to educate yourself in Theology and Biblical interpretation from an official mainline Adventist University. Your reasoning and explanation of scripture is very shallow and open to criticism. (Rom 4:15-5:15) By the way, Psalms 51:5, states clearly we r born sinners. quoting David, “Behold I was shapen in iniquity and in sin did my mother conceive me. KJV. This applies to every single descendent of Adam, but not to Christ. He had no evil propensity in him. The NIV says, Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the Time my mother conceived me. EGWhite in her Steps to Christ, page 18, says, it is impossible for us, of ourselves, to escape from the pit of sin in which we are sunken. Our hearts are evil, and we cannot change them. Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not one. The carnal mind is enmity against God. Jesus says The same in Mark 7:21, For from within, out of men’s hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, rudeness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and make a man unclean. Jeremiah 17:9 the heart is deceitful above all things desperately wicked and beyond cure who can understand it? EGW describes sin as leprosy, deep- rooted, deadly, impossible to be cleansed by human power, but Jesus coming to dwell in humanity, receives no pollution, His presence has healing virtue for the sinner. DA pg, 266. You extremists LGT guys base your theology on the idea that Christ had a sinful nature. And if he can overcome and be perfect we to can achieve the same and that We to can keep the law perfect like Christ. This is heresy at its highest and must be refuted. He is the unique God-Man our Saviour not just our example. “If Christ was all together like us hundred percent, if he had shared in exactly the same way the inheritance of sin and guilt we all receive from Adam, then he would have been crippled as a savior. But more than that, he would himself have stood in need of a redeemer. Review and herald September 21, 1886. You need to study more Duane, you making yourself look foolish and ignorant of Christ and the gospel. Let me recommend the book by Roy Adams, the nature of Christ. It will help you greatly to understand sin and the nature of Christ. Don’t be like a moslem and keep your mind closed. The world will never hear the Jesus Gospel from a teacher like you. Stop brain washing your followers. You will have to give an account for distorting the scripture.
